Chapter 7: Genin's D-rank Missions, They Can Surprise You!

*A/N : Sorry, this took so long. But it is the LONGEST CHAPTER by far, didn't realize that when I was writing out the plot points. It's the in-between stuff that added a lot to it. Cause god damn this took forever*

(The Day After Team Seven's First Mission)

I wake up thrilled to try out the sweet idea I came up with yesterday. 'What if I just send a Shadow Clone to do missions with my team, while I do more progressive things.' So, I make a Shadow clone and send it off to meet up with my team. I then head off to Higurashi Weapons Shop to see if he has what I'm looking for.

(At Higurashi Weapons Shop)

Naruto: *walks into the front room* "Hey Mr. Higurashi, you back there?!"

Daichi: *comes out wiping the sweat off his head with a rag* "I'm always back here! I have a feeling you're here for something important. Speaking of which, how did your little project turn out?"

Naruto: "Oh, you see. Since I just got on my Genin team, I haven't had the time. But I did finish all of the Fuinjutsu parts for the rings and stuff. Over the next couple of days, I'll be really testing them out to see how it all comes together. I'll make sure to stop by again and let you know, but that's not why I came today. I'm looking for something in particular."

Daichi: "Go ahead, lay it on me."

Naruto: "You wouldn't happen to have any Chakra paper, would you?"

Daichi: *surprised* "Wow, that's a little early for the times don't ya think. Even Tenten hasn't come asking me about that yet. Maybe I should mention it to her. She's been out for over 8 months now. It's an important thing for Shinobi to know. *Goes behind the counter and moves a picture frame off the wall and opens a locked safe, pulls out a black box*

Naruto: "Oh, so I'm assuming that you do, have it?"

Daichi: *places the box down and open it* "Yup, right here is the only stack you can get. You see, the Chakra paper in made from specific trees grown with Chakra. There isn't an infinite supply of them. This stack of 25 or so, is probably the only Chakra paper in Konoha, that is available outside of your Jonin Sensei getting for you. Even they don't carry it on hand. They'll have to fill out forms requesting it from the Hokage."

Naruto: "Hmm. How much you want for at least 3 of them?"

Daichi: "Wait, just dawned on me. It's 9 o'clock, shouldn't you be out with your Genin team? Tenten is already gone with hers."

Naruto: "What can I say, I'm skilled at being in multiple places at once."

Daichi: *chuckles* "I can see that. Well, how about I just give you the three of them, and we just keep our deal going that we've already talked about." *Hands him three pieces of Chakra paper*

Naruto: *smiles* "Thank you, this means a lot."

Daichi: "It's all good. Now, go on. You've got some things to be testing out, don't ya?"

Naruto: "You're right. Well, I guess I'm off." *Leaves the store*

(At the Uzumaki Mask Storage Temple)

Naruto: "Multi-Shadow Clone Jutsu!" *50 Shadow Clones appear* "Alright listen up. 10 of you will be out here to perfect the Body Flicker. 5 of you will be going through our Taijutsu. 5 of you will be watching them an pointing out mistake or holes in their performance. See if you can come up with a solid offensive strategy that our defense can't beat, and a defensive strategy that our offense can't beat. 20 of you will be combing through all the Fuinjutsu knowledge all the way up to advanced levels. Anything in the room or below ground level is fair game. Learn it, practice it with ink and paper. Memorize it, then try it with just Chakra if possible. The last 10 of you will be working on our newer barrier Jutsu. Split up amongst yourself into two groups. I'm gonna go test out the masks and rings, maybe even work on the control of my chains later."
