The day was beautiful, cloudless, warm and awash with the scent of blossom , the just risen sun shone softly on the streets of the kingdom of Hastinapur
The Market was filled with all the hustle bustle of people buying and selling
A young girl, was running down the lane to the next street.
" Radhey!" she yelled, halting at a particular white-washed house
" He went out early to practice archery in the woods vrushali" came a voice from inside
" Okay , Radha ma " she replied and rushed to go to the woods
" Don't go into the woods alone ma " Radha ma shouted after her but she had already gone deep inside the woods

On the earthy forest floor a cool stream snaked past the towering trees which stood like silent guards. Huge boulders of rocks lay sleeping as lush, green moss grew over them like a soft, green blanket. Amongst the thick tangle of branches, long vines hung down loosely making rope bridges between the trees. The air was warm and filled with the orchestra of a thousand colourful birds and insects which were hidden out of sight beneath the umbrella-like leaves.
" R-Radhey......" vrushali stammered, regretting her desicion of coming into the woods, the woods though beautiful looked eerily creepy for a small girl.
Her mind was filled with the thoughts of how many secrets this beautiful woods were hiding, she made her mind to get out of this place as soon as possible and turned around only to remember that she forgot the way and all the sides looked very much alike.
" Oh ! God!" she gasped as panic overtook her.
She heard a loud howl coming from one of the particularly thick bushes, vrushali slowly turned around and gave a startled gasp as she saw a big wolf with tar-black skin and hazel eyes jump out of the bush, her insides raced telling her to run or move, but she was too shocked and stood rooted to the place.
The wolf neared his prey, which currently was vrushali, she took slow steps back, she wanted to scream but all that came out of her mouth were slow, soft gasps, the wolf was inches away from her, drops of sweat trickled down her forehead as tears poured out of her eyes
Suddenly gathering up all the courage she had, she screamed loudly 'HELP', hoping it would reach the ears of the villagers but because of her scream the wolf became more determined to get to her
And when the wolf came close to her about to pounce on her she closed her eyes shut and hoped it would not be too painful, suddenly a arrow came like a gust of wind and pierced the wolf in his leg, it howled in pain and ran away limping.
"vrushali? What in the name of hell are you doing here?" echoed a loud voice, which was familiar to vrushali
" Radhey " she heaved a sigh of relief as she saw the well - known face of vasuena
"Answer me Vrushali, what are you doing deep in the woods , it's so dangerous " he questioned her with a stern voice
" I .......ummm........I ... actually came here searching for you .....Radha ma told me you'd be here " she said in a low voice
" WHAT! You came searching for me , that too soo deep into the woods ! What would have happened if I had not come on time , you are a grown up girl Vrushali, learn what is right and what is wrong , coming into the woods that too alone " he chided
" I am sorry! " She said
" Saying sorry doesn't correct a mistake but this will be your first and last warning, got it ?" He asked
" Ok I will never enter into the woods alone " she promised
" Why Did you come searching for me?" he questioned
" Oh that , did you forget the promise you made yesterday, you promised me that you would play family game with me na ?" She asked
" Oh ......hmm......ok fine I will play with you " he said after a while of thinking
Vrushali's face bloomed like a newly opened rose.
" So , what character am I getting " he asked her
" I will be the mother and you will be the - " she started but was cut off by karna
" - I will be the father? " he asked guessing the obvious answer
" What ! Of course not , your the horse of the family and I will ride on you throughout the town " she replied
" What nooo , vrushali please " he whined
"Shut up and come with me Radhey " she dragged him forcefully out of the forest
She started playing the game making karna regret his promise.....

Hey guys the first chapter is usually the most hardest to write and the most boring to read , and this is also a bit short but I promise you guys that the next one will be bigger and better
And according to my story karna is 2 years older than vrushali and all the kuru princes are younger than vrushali and karna
I have read this twice but I didn't spot any mistake please point out if you find one
