As the night sky turned to a lighter shade of blue and the birds began to softly sing, everyone in camp was still fast asleep except for Bellamy Blake, who was currently making his way towards the nearby stream to wash up before waking Olenee.

Bellamy didn't know why the ancient humans even bothered doing drugs, what was the point of shooting junk into your veins when walking through the forest had the same effect? As he moved away from camp in the early morning sunlight he loved the way the silence filled the trees around him, The Ark had never been quiet, there was always a low hum of background noise. It had scared him the first time he entered the forest, not having anything to drown out his thoughts but the more time he spent in there the quieter his mind became.

When he finally reached the stream, Bellamy laid his socks over a branch and placed his shoes underneath them. Then dipped his feet into the cool water which felt incredible on his skin, he rolled his pants up to his knees and walked in farther, grinning like a complete idiot as the water swirled around his calves. It was one of his favorite things about earth, how simple things like washing your feet suddenly felt like a huge deal.

The trees weren't as dense by the stream which made the sun shine a little brighter making Bellamys face and arms suddenly hotter, he pulled off his t-shirt and tossed it onto the grass before reaching down to scoop water into his hands and splash it over his face.

He smiled softly before a twig snapped behind him, Bellamy spun around so quickly that he lost his balance and fell backwards with a splash. He scrambled to his feet, looking for the source of the sound.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you" Bellamy pushed his hair out of his face and saw Olenee standing awkwardly on the grass, it was startling to see someone else in the woods which he'd come to the conclusion that it belonged exclusively to him.

Bellamy expected a flash of irritation but it never came.

"Your up early, let me guess you couldn't wait to see me?" he teased making his way back to the bank. Olenee blushed "I just- I remembered what you said about the animals drinking water in the morning" she said as she looked away from his bare chest, she was so confident most of the time or at least tried to be that it was easy to forget that she grew up in a world of secrecy and lies.

Bellamy grinned as he shook his head, sending droplets of water flying, "hey" she laughed while jumping backwards as she tried to wipe away the water. "the water could be toxic" Olenee said, "since when did my badass princess become such a priss?" he sat down in a sunny patch of grass and patted the spot next to him in invitation. "a priss?" Olenee lowered herself next to Bellamy "last time I checked Wells killed the jaguar that almost pounced on you" she stated with a small grin "Hey, I skinned the thing, I think I did more than my fair share. Besides-" he paused as he laid back on the grass "I didn't see you complain while devouring it like a mad man."

She looked towards Bellamy in shock "well yeah- wait. You're the one who gave it to me" she said while playfully hitting Bellamys bare chest, Bellamy brought his hands behind his head and tilted his face towards the sun, feeling the warmth soak into his skin.

"Sorry to insult you" he said stretching out the words as a relaxed heaviness settled over his body, "I know you're not a priss, not even close" he said softly while glancing at the girl.

"You know Bellamy, you're not so bad to be around" Olenee gently said while glancing down at the older boy, Which he gave her a small smile before replying "well, your not so bad yourself".
