Rin's POV
"Sousuke..." I drift off as I look away, avoiding Sousuke's intent stare.
"You know you can't hang out with them if you want to accomplish your dream," he says more gently this time.
"I know but..." I bite my lip as Haru's surprised stare flickers in my head.
"I missed them a lot," I look up at the taller boy, causing him to narrow his gaze.
"Rin, you can't put your feelings in front of your priorities if you want to succeed-"
"Why can't I pursue my dreams with my friends?" I ask desperately, my eyes filled with anxiousness as I looked up at him.
"Friends? They're distractions, Rin-"
"Fine! Try to tell me what to do, I won't listen to you!" I violently turn my back on him, storming off with my pockets in my sweatshirt.
"Oi, Rin! Get back here, we have to meet up with the others!" His voice slowly dissipates into the background as I speed up my pace, wanting to have nothing to do with him.
God, he could be so infuriating sometimes.
I walked out the back door, onto the courtyard.
I spotted a patch of grass surrounding a sakura tree in the distance, causing myself to exhale in relief, making my way over to the cherry blossom tree.
I sigh in exhilaration, getting comfortable in the grass, laying down in the green.
Just then, I hear a whine coming from the front area, and I sit back up in surprise to see Nagisa, that Rei person and Haru exiting from the front.
Nagisa was giving Rei a puppy dog face, while Haru was looking down at his shoes in silence, his hands in his pocket.
He must have sensed me watching him, because he turned in my direction.
His eyes locked gazes with mine, and I suddenly felt self-conscious.
He probably thinks I've been stalking him or something-
"Rin!" I hear a familiar voice aggressively call my name, and I turn to face Sousuke, wide-eyed as I realized both him and Haru were heading in my direction.
"You gotta be kidding me..." I bury my face in my hands as they confront me, then notice each other right after.
"Sousuke..." Haru drifted off, sweat-dropping, and Sousuke sighed, pointing at his nose.
"Get away from him!" He did a shooing motion at Haru, while Haru just blankly stared at him with his famous alienated stare.
Before Sousuke could get the chance to maul the poor blue-haired male, I stepped in between the two, raising my hands in exasperation.
"Enough with the shooing, Sousuke! The best thing you could do right now is to acknowledge poor Haru's presence!" I gripped Sousuke's shoulders in annoyance, looking into his turquoise irises.
"He's derailing you from your ambitions, Rin," Sousuke sighed, backing away for once.
"Derailing?" Haru repeated, eyebrows furrowed.
