HAZEL'S POV

Briiiing!.
My alarm clock teared through the silence and peace of my sleep, grunting disdainfully, I stretched my hands and knocked it over.

I laid still half asleep, pushing thoughts of Mr. Rochet's disapproving face at my lateness far out my mind.

The fifty something old man was the most grumpy person I've ever come across, only second to Mrs. Pertson, my landlady a.k.a, the apartment's cat lady.

A heavy continuous knock shook the fragile hinges of my door, making me shoot up fully awake.

" Shit, shit!" I protracted the cuss word for about a minute as I hastily unentangled myself from the sheets.

" Red, I know you're in there, come pay your rent before Mama sends Bassie!" Came the peeved voice of Bella, daughter of the Cat lady, my landlady.

This has been my story for the past four months, waking up early trying to escape my land lady and her two vile daughters.

It's safe to say that Bella was the most polite one... note the sarcasm, because her big sister Bassie, was the devil's incarnate.

That bitch has been hating me since day one for whatever reasons I cannot tell.

And she has refused to acknowledge my name and has nicknamed me Red.... a name I hated.
Partly because she calls me that to mock me and partly because she is my sworn enemy.

Especially now that we both work at the theater.

I don't get her, she's Mr. Rochet's favorite and she's been there for ages.

She gets all the better parts whilst I on the other hand only gets to play as substitute.

I stood perfectly still, listening as Bella's heavy steps started away from my door and down the stairs.

I let out the breath I've been holding, collapsing on my bed as I stared up the old and frail looking ceiling.

Backtracking to a year and seven months ago when I had left him standing in the middle of his room at the Rings, shamrock green eyes hurt, face contoured with pain.

Pain that I had caused.

" I love you"

Those words stab at my chest every single day, yet in some twisted kind of way, it's the one thing that keeps me going , the one thing keeping me alive, the one thing that makes me believe that in this dark crazy world I woke up to, someone actually love me....

Loved me.

Bish.

I had ran out of the Rings with no place in mind, totally disoriented and heartbroken, lonely, engulfed in the darkness that suck away at my soul in the unforgiving storm.

I had no idea where I had ended up but life fucked me up some more as if what had happened wasn't enough.

Two drunk men with the breath of sewage tried harassing me in the middle of the deserted streets.

I couldn't even run, my screams were muffled by the thunderstorm and those two animals would have had thier way with me had it not been for Rick.

Rick, Hagel's manager at the Rings. I recognized him from the times I had visited Hagel at the Rings and during the championship.

Visited?
Well whatever...
He had appeared out of nowhere in his truck, fought off the two bastards and took me to his house.

The ride had been silent and I was so grateful that he didn't ask questions.
