Rani : Her Story

Prolouge

The place was very warm. Too warm to be exact but I'm loving it. My jaws parted to reveal a yawn.

I woke from my sleep. It was too dark but I still opened. The place around me was full of whispers and voices, jolting me alive.

My sight was too blurry. I closed them. It then opened to reveal chocolate eyes. It was staring right into mine.

Bewildered, I stared back. Her eyes are so soft and warm filled with happiness. It is dark but I can see that she has thick brows and a cluster of dark marking under her eyes.

Her fur was dark brown thanks to the light creeping from the outside. As I reached up to pat her head, I saw that my fur is a reddish-brown one.

I giggled at my mother as I snuggled in her fur. She smiled at me, showing me her pearly whites. I purred lightly, as she leaned, nuzzled and licked my head.

Suddenly, I saw a shadow entering. He is a big bulky lion with dark brown fur, with a pale nuzzle and thick dark eyebrows. His mane was darker than his pelt and streaked with pale fur. His eyes are brown.

"Hey there, Ananda." His voice boomed in the cafe. Mother smiled at him and gestured him to come forward.

Surely, he's my father.

He came closer, big heavy footsteps with huge paws coming closer to us. Mother grinned as he nuzzled her and looked at me tenderly.

"She's beautiful right?" Mother asked.

"Hmm, she is." Father replied, leaning down to muzzle me. I squeaked using my paws to pat his nose.

Father chuckled, his breath fanning me.

He then leaned back. "What's her name?"

"I've decided her name's Rani. It means 'Queen' which meant she's the future queen of the Tree Of Life." Mother said.

"Wonderful, it's time for her presentation" Father said. Mother nodded, standing up. I whined as the warmth left me. She took me up by the scruff of my neck gently and went out with Father leading the way.

At that moment, I squinted. I saw millions of animals cheering before me as my parents stood on the rock proudly.

The Mjuzi, Aria who's a wise mandrill took me and held me above her arms. The animals cheered as a small grin appeared on my face.

"I present you the future queen of the Tree Of Life, Princess Rani!" Aria shouted and the monkeys thumped their fists on the ground, the lions and lionesses roared, the zebras galloped, and the elephants trumpeted.

I'm Rani, the future queen of the Tree Of Life.
