"Assalam alaykum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh" Habibah said as she picks up the call.
"Walaykum salam warahmatullhi wabarakatuh" Adeela responded.
"When are you coming back home?" Habibah inquires. She missed her immensely.
"Insha Allah, I will arrive at the airport by 12 in the midnight. When are you traveling?" Adeela replied. She groaned as she tried to zip her travelling bag. It was an unsuccessful attempt.
"Insha Allah, in four days time. I am going to miss you again. Why are you groaning?" Habibah furrowed her brows.
"Imaging trying to close your travelling box and the zip is acting against your wishes. I have been trying to zip my box. The zip is going back instead of going forward. Very frustrating" Adeela complained.
Habibah laughed. Anyone would when they hear how frustrating Adeela sounded. Adeela pondered whether to just re- arrange her box or leave it like this. Time is running. She has a flight to catch in ten hours.
"Why are you laughing? Nothing is funny"
Adeela frowned. How can she laugh when she is in a dilemma, Adeela thought.Habibah tried to hold her laughter but failed miserably. It is not everyday Adeela is frustrated like this especially about a frivolous matter like this one.
"If you are not going to advise me or help me in any way, then don't laughter at my misery. I will the cut the call if you don't stop" Adeela pouted. As Habibah is laughing, it is making her even more anxious. If she wasn't so frustrated and confused simultaneously, she would have joined her to laugh. After all, Habibah's laughter is infectious.
"Ok, I will stop. Sorry. Why don't you try to sit on the box and close it or anything to apply pressure for the lid compartment to decline enough for the zips meet." Habibah advised.
Adeela, though hesitant, sat on the box. The pressure was enough for the box to fall making it easy for her to zip conveniently.
" Alhamdulillah! Thank you so much. The hack worked." Adeela breathed. She was already exhausted from all that struggle.
"Masha Allah! What's next?" Habibah asked.
"I want to sleep. I am tired. Let me sleep for a while" Adeela yawned.
"Don't even think of it. Start dressing for the airport" Habibah widened her eyes.
"What! Why am I going to the airport now, when my flight is in ten hours time.?" Adeela grumbled.
"What if you sleep off and miss your flight? I will not repeat myself. Oya stand up and dress for the airport" Habibah instructed, fearing she will miss her flight.
The scene made Adeela reminisce when her mum would wake her up for an important event very early like hours before the time Adeela intends to wake up.
Adeela fondle the memory preciously"Yes ma. I will get ready promptly. Moreover, I will just work on some documents." Adeela agreed.
Habibah smiled.
"Alright. Don't work too strenuously. Call when you are about to board. Also, when you arrive at the airport. I will send a car" Habibah smiled. Frankly, Habibah can't wait to see her baby. She has missed her.
"No problem. I will call" Adeela reassured her.
"Toh! Till we see. May Allah grant you safe journey" Habibah wished her well. Adeela thanked her. She bade her goodbye.
.................................................................
Adeela called to inform Habibah that she had arrived. Habibah told her to wait that a car is coming to pick her up."My love, I need you to do me a favor" Habibah rushed to her child room.
"Ok umma. What do you want me to do for you ma?" Anan looked up from his paperwork. Anan got up from his chair, going to close his mom.
"I need you to pick up someone for me" Habibah smile cutely at her son. She pleaded him with her eyes.
"Ok ma. Send the address." Anan didn't mind. His mother could order him at anytime. He doesn't mind.
"Thank you so much. I will do that right now" Habibah kissed his cheek. Anan smiled, almost blushing. His nose tip was almost turning pink.
Anan picked his car keys and phone. He said goodbye to his mom. He made his way to the garage.
............"Assalam alaykum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh" Adeela said.
"Walaykum salam warahmatullhi wabarakatuh. I have sent the person. He is on the way" Habibah reassured Adeela. She knew fully well that it was the reason why she called.
Adeela nodded, even though she knew that Habibah can't see her gesture. It is just her wont.
Adeela wandered around the airport. She made sure she didn't wander far from the nearest exit incase the driver comes.
