"I will not be responsible for whatever scolding your sister exacts on you if you cancel dinner with her again."
Chaeyoung tears her tired eyes away from the financial report in her hand. She blinks and squints until her vision was focused again.
Chou Tzuyu was standing just inside the glass door of her office.
Tzuyu hands were clasp in front of her, she didn't look impressed.
"Dinner?" Chaeyoung mumbles, she glances at her watch. "No it can't be six already. When did that happen?"
"The same time it happens every night Chaeyoung" Tzuyu answers dryly.
Chaeyoung glares at her friend or bodyguard. "I said seven right? I know I told Sunmi seven tonight."
"You did which is why I'm reminding an hour early to remind you."
"Oh of course" Chaeyoung deadpan "That's why. I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that Sunmi promised to make her best filet mignon for dinner."
Tzuyu's mouth pulls back into a smirk. "Did she? What a coincidence."
Chaeyoung shakes her head good-naturedly and left her chair. She drops the financial report onto the top of her desk with a loud thwack, relieve to be done with it for the night and tug her suit jacket off the back of her chair. Dinner and a movie with Somi sounded like the perfect reprieve from a day of office drudgery.
The hurried sounds of tapping heels on marble floor catches her attention. Chaeyoung glances to the door of her glass office just in time to see it swing open.
A brunette woman who accompanied the clicking heels practically barrels into the middle of the room, straight pass Tzuyu surprising the bodyguard.
Tzuyu recovers quickly "Stop" she commands.
The woman stop mid-stride. She glances at Tzuyu over her shoulder and then turned wide, almost wild eyes on Chaeyoung.
"Are you all right? What do you need?" Chaeyoung ventures carefully as she takes an inspection of the woman's appearance.
The woman seemed foreign, a descent of japanese perhaps, she was dressed casually but her clothes were nice.
Despite the noise that sounded like heels had created on her arrival but her shoes were flat. Her eyes were serious and clearly said that she'd spent no small amount of time crying and probably the lack of sleep.
The woman heave a deep breath and then squared her shoulders. Chaeyoung had seen her sister do the same thing when she was preparing for a fight so she tense automatically.
"My name is Myoui Mina" Her voice was quiet but firm and resolute. "And I'm here to make a deal."
No one spoke.
Then perhaps stupidly because she was taken back by what the intruder had said Chaeyoung responds "What?"
Mina ignores her in favor of glancing back at Tzuyu "Don't shoot me" she tells her "I'm going to pull a file out of my purse."
