(Tallulah is mute, because I thought it was necessary because she uses signs to talk, like she can talk, or knows words, so she CAN talk, just chooses not to, and 'words' like that are her signing, and "these" are other people taking. Also Sally is not a salmon in this like she canonically is, she's a mermaid because Sally being a salmon would make it harder, so she's a mermaid).

-------------

Tallulah opened her eyes, the sun from her window shined into her eyes. Looking to the right of her room she spotted herself in her mirror, she blinked a couple times before rubbing her eyes and getting out of bed.

--

She put on a pair of dark blue slightly oversized khaki shorts, and a yellow turtle-neck, with her favorite maroon beanie. She grabbed her circle reading glasses her father gave her for her 8th birthday, and put them on.

--

She smiled at herself in the mirror, before grabbing her brush, and brushing the parts of her hair you could see. She picked up her best pair of shoes, and laced them up. Tallulah walked over to her door turning the knob, and opening the door. Her father was making pancakes for her 16th birthday.

--

Wilbur turned his head a bit to slightly look at Tallulah out of the corner of his eye. "Tallulah! Happy birthday!" Wilbur smiled at her turning around. "I made pancakes for you," Wilbur said with a still warm smile on his face.

--

'Thank you' Tallulah signed smiling. Wilbur placed the pan down to go hug Tallulah. "Are you gonna go somewhere?" Wilbur asked looking down at Tallulah's shoes. Tallulah nodded her head, as she signed, 'just around the river,'

--

"Well okay- have fun, do you want the pancakes I so graciously prepared for you?" Wilbur asked taking a plate out of a cabinet. Tallulah walked over to the stove the pancakes where resting on. Tallulah snickered, Then nodded.

--

Wilbur fixed her a plate and handed it to her. "Tell me when you leave Tallulah-" Wilbur said washing the pan he had just used. Tallulah nodded grabbing syrup.

--

Tallulah washed her dish when she was done, and waved to her father as she left. "I love you Tallulah-" Wilbur smiled. Tallulah made a heart with her hands before grabbing her satchel that hung on a hanger by the door, then leaving the house.

--

She gripped her satchel strap, the Lovejoy pen on it hitting her hand, before she stepped down the steps, and she hopped on her bike and started riding towards the river that was about 5 minutes away in riding distance.

--

She hummed one of her father's songs, as she rode. Once she got to the river, she sat on her knees and ran her hand through the water. She opened her satchel about to grab her fishing rod, before she spotted what looked like a somewhat large capsule in the river.

--

Tallulah let out a small gasp. She took off her satchel, unlaced her shoes took them off, along with her socks, glasses, and beanie. She dodged the rocks along the river bed, trying to get to the capsule. She let out another small gasp when the cold water hit her feet.

--

She kept going until the water was about to her knees. She knelt down, the water somewhat hitting her shorts, and grabbed the box, that was incased with moss. She made her way out of the river and back to her stuff.

--

She placed the box down. And put on her glasses, then tried to open it, it was sealed shut with moss.  Tallulah looked around for something to cut it open with. She unattached a pin off her satchel, and used the sharp part of the pin to cut the layer of moss off the box.
