Hat in one hand, other on the rim of the capsule. She expected to see something. Something that'd bring her closer to figuring out what is going on. "Hm-" She squinted, standing up she put her hands on the ridge of the box, and pushed it over.

Maybe something would be in there he thought, maybe it was stuck, or she couldn't see it. The bottom of the box was facing her. Not fully upside down yet, the bottom of the capsule was grimy and had moss nearly everywhere on it.

She walked around, and looked in the box once again, crouching down, but still seeing nothing. The sun was too bright in her eyes, the capsule was too dark. She couldn't see anything in the box.

She stepped around the box again, looking at the mossy bottom of this capsule. Inspecting how weird the texture would feel if she placed her hands on it. She sighed, and placed her hands on the box, gripping the mossy box as best as she could without it slipping from her fingers.

With the capsule at her disposal, she tipped it over one more time. She assumed anything in there would have fallen out if she had pushed it completely over. A thought crossed her mind before she would place it back to its original position.

With the box upside down she could see the bottom of the box, something stuck out from one of the seams in the box, a small piece of paper, wedged in the box. Slightly sticking out from the inside of the box.

She gently placed her hand on the paper, and pulled lightly. She was kinda surprised when it didn't immediately break free from the capsules hold. "Huh?" She mumbled, she pulled slightly harder. The paper didn't budge.

She gave a puzzled look, and pulled harder. Didn't move. She tugged harder again. And again, and again.

She was using all her body strength, she pulled on the paper as hard as she could, when she finally ripped the paper out she fell against the tree behind her, hitting her head on it, her beanie cushioning.

"Owie-" She rubbed her head, standing back up. She looked down at the paper, it was ripped in half, the other half still in the box. She sighed. "Oh..." She muttered sounding defeated. She looked down at the note in her hands, and her eyes went wide.

On the paper scribbled in messy hand writing was the words "wake up" this had taken up the entirety of the part of the paper she had ripped out. and it probably had "wake up" written on it at least fifty times. Some parts of the paper was wet, like tears had fallen down on the paper.

She placed the paper down on the box, and fiddled with her pant legs. What had he gone through? Who was he telling to wake up? Why did he even write that? It didn't look like the journals handwriting, but then again, the letter was written messily, unlike the neat writing on the pages of the book, it looked like it was written quickly, in a hurry, or in someone's last bit of sanity, they scribbled it down as a last resort. But, it didn't seem like meant anything. So.... Why had this been written?

She looked back at the box, and squinted her eyes. She walked around the capsule, and pushed it closer to the tree she just recently fell against. She left just enough room for her to squeeze in between the tree and box. She huffed a sigh, and placed one of her boots on the top of the box, and tried to scrape the moss of the capsule, only near where the paper stuck.

She managed to get a small part of the moss close to the note pried off. The box was by all means still dirty, but she thought the lack of the moss near the piece of paper, would help her pry it out.

She put her hand over the note, and pushed it down into the capsule. She could still vaguely see the note, but it was mostly now sticking into the capsule, instead of out.

She pushed the box back away from the tree, and walked around to face it, and dumped the front part of her body into the capsule to retrieve the note. She grabbed the note from the crack in the box. It came out quickly this time.

She smiled, and read. She expected it to be something different, but it was still the same, "wake up" message, written sloppily, and over and over again. She sighed softly, and put the note in her bag. She turned over to the box, and squinted. There had to be more, right? He couldn't have left this small bit of a "backstory" with nothing else, right?

She had missed the note for days, unaware it was even there, what else could she have missed? She looked back at the notes in her satchel, then back at the capsule. She stood, and closed the box, which shut with a clank sound. She looked back at her home, and then at the river where she first had found this box, left by boy that had written, and gone through all this seemingly.

She rushed to her shoes, they lay near the river bed, and put them on quickly. She gathered her stuff, and ran to her bike. She kicked up her stand, and jumped onter her bike. She stalled for a moment. Not wanting to peddle, not wanting to move her legs. No. That's not it. She didn't wanna go home. She'd had to try so hard not to confront her father about this.

But... Nonetheless, she peddled, and moved her legs, making her way back to her home. She peddled slowly, she couldn't think of what he'd say to her if she even asked, (which she obviously didn't plan on doing). She knew he wouldn't be mad. Maybe disappointed. Maybe it would be something he'd been trying to cover up, because it brought him pain. Or... Maybe he'd done something bad. Terrible, something she couldn't fathom. No. She shook that idea.

He hadn't done that. She knew him all too well. He... Couldn't have. Right?

She arrived at her home, it felt foreign now. She kicked her stand down. Stalling. And slowly made her way up the steps. Stalling. And gradually typed the code to enter their home. Stalling. She opened the door, it creaked open, and she slowly opened it fully. Stalling.

"Tallulah!" She looked down. The thoughts of what he might have done had been creeping up on her the whole ride home. "Is something wrong?" He asked. She shook her head. 'I'm tired.' She smiled. "Oh, well, I'm making dinner now, would you wanna help?" She shook her head.

'I'm not hungry, I think I'm gonna go to bed, papa.' He looked back at the food he had been making for her. "Well okay," He smiled. "Good night," He waved to her. 'Night,' She smiled, she opened her bedroom door, and plopped down onto her bed. She hadn't lifted her head the entire encounter.

She couldn't look at him, she... She knew he didn't do anything wrong. But, the possibility was still there. Even though... She thought he didn't do anything. She didn't know. Not anymore.

She sat back up, and adjusted her curtain that lay on her window. She looked through the window, onto the island she'd lived on her whole life. She sighed, and looked around her bedroom at everything she'd acquired over the years. She looked around the room she'd lived her whole life, and the island as well. And in the moment of thinking about everything she'd done this far.

She had to know more about the journal, and the mystery she's uncovering.

So she knew what she had to do.
