Dude the mapping in this fic is so weird like why'd I make everything so close together 💀💀_________________________________________
She backed away from the paintings, and opened the door to the tower, the light of day nearly blinded her, her eyes had adjusted to the darkness already.

She groaned, shadowing her eyes from the sun. She saw a road with a tunnel over it, she squinted, she would come back here, but she needed to get out of this desert for now. She knew what place this was, that's all she needed to know.

She trudged along through the tunneled road, only sighing every few moments, wishing she was home in her bed, where it was nice and cool, But she was kinda thankful it was only this hot, when she'd imagined deserts she'd thought they'd be far hotter than this. It just kinda felt like a really hot summer day.

Wonder why that is.

About 5 minutes into walking, she stepped on something that sounded slimy. "Ugh-" she stepped back. Her eyes had adjusted to the darkness of the tunnel already, she looked down. A fish. "Ew..." She mumbled. What was with the fish? She guessed it was probably a salmon, because why not?

After nearly 10 minutes of walking, and drinking most of her first water bottle, which was now like three quarters empty, she'd made it to the end of the tunnel. She breathed a relieved sigh, and looked around. A green lush forest filled her vision. She looked back at the tunnel. How could this be do close to that? She winced and turned back around.

She made her way into the forest, dodging the overgrown leaves, grass, branches, and everything else that could grow. It looked uncared for, or like someone had forgot about the nature here. They were due for a trim, and threatening to snag her clothes every chance they got.

She avoided the trees' practically murder weapons as she traveled through the forest. Once she made it through she felt pround of herself, (mostly because she hadn't given up after going back for her beanie that got caught on a tree for the fourth time).

Once she'd made it through she expected to make a groundbreaking discovery. Maybe see something that'll change how she views her father for the rest of her life. But.... Nothing. Just a a field with overgrown ferns, and weeds.

'Oh goodie, more walking.' She thought to herself, as she trudged along the terrain. She sighed, it was too hot here. She thought, (not an opinion, a genuine fact). She took another swing of one of the many water bottle she had brought with her for this long, hard, and treacherous journey. (That's how she would put it, maybe a BIT too over dramatic).

She kept moving, her legs feeling like cement blocks as she made herself move along the itchy weeds and overgrown plants. She pulled on the collar of her turtleneck. She sighed, and pulled the turtleneck off as she continued moving, she was left in the black tank top, she'd always worn under her sweater.

She tied the turtleneck around her waist, not looking ahead as she tied the cloth around her hips. She huffed out, and looked up.

"Oh-" Her eyes went wide, she'd come across a civilization, not beaten down and broken. "Woah..." She rubbed her eyes so hard she practically gave herself blind spots, as to make sure this was real, and not a mirage caused by how hot she was, literally baking the sun.

But no. This was actually here. A very large civilization. The first thing she noticed, was a large mushroom building, couldn't miss even if you were blind. She also saw a big temple, close, but not adjacent to the vine-y mushroom build. "Wha-" She mumbled, pulling out Floris' journal.

She flipped through the pages, rereading the pages she had already read so many times prior to this moment.

Nothing.

Nothing about this place, not once.

So, did he leave out places in this place? Did he just not know about some of these areas. She squinted, and backed up. This place was indeed beautiful, yes. But not important to her journey, not that she knew of, anyway.

She might have to come back to this place later, she made a mental note of this place.

It wouldn't hurt to take just a short look around? The place was vacant, just like every other place she had come across thus far. "Hm..." She took a step into the vine-y territory of this kingdom, and looked around, this place didn't look as unkempt as Las Nevadas, it looked nice, and well taken care of.

Las Nevadas was taken care of from what she could tell from Floris' writing, I mean, who would wanna stay in a badly kempt place, especially one that mainly stood for just gambling. But, the affects of the desert, and where it was was probably the factors of why it looked so worn down, and old, vs this kingdom she'd found.

After looking around for a few minutes, she sighed, and turned back around, as beautiful as this place was, this isn't where she was supposed to be headed. She had to find L'manburg.

Had to.

She climbed out of the terrain of the city, and looked back at it once last time. She smiled, and took out Fundy's notebook. Most of the pages were blank. She wouldn't ruin th‼️ already written in pages, but....

Just journaling about her mission, and writing down what he'd missed wouldn't hurt, right?

She took out the journal, and started writing. She wrote about Las Nevadas, and what she had found there. She wrote about finding this place, whatever this may be called. (She called it the Mushroom Kingdom). And how her journey was not yet done.

She reckoned she still had a while to go before she finally reached her destination. L'manburg.

She liked the sights of this place. But that's what she really had her eyes upon. To find that place might solve all of her problems, find out more about Floris and Will.

She closed the notebook, and pushed it back down deep in her satchel with a slight smile playing at her lips. Tallulah looked back one last time at the large village, and went straight back the way she was headed. Hopeful this was the way to L'manburg, and not the complete opposite direction.

She endured the heat of the walk, making her way around the territory, it started to get dark, the sun slowly setting on the horizon. She kept a straight face as she walked and walked. She didn't smile, knowing her father was probably worried sick right about now. She hasn't left anything for her father, letting him know where she was.

She hoped he went to Quackity, and interrogated him until he was blue in the face. She got a smile out of herself while imaging that scenario.

She trudged around the wilted grass, walking over to... Where over she was headed. (She honestly didn't even know herself).

She thought of Wilbur to keep herself going. She'd apologize, over and over again once she got back to him. Apologize for leaving without so much as a goodbye, she hadn't even told him anything about where she was going, or why she was even going there in the first place.

"Tallulah?" Will shuttered, not seeing her in her bedroom. Or anywhere in their home. "Where'd.... Where'd you go?"
