"For today, there isn't much—just strategy planning and some networking events."

"Not much?" I repeat rolling my eyes and glancing off to the side. I wanna go home already.

"Let's get it over with then."

"Let's get started then, call in the Chief Strategy Officer, Head of Marketing, and Head of Product Development," I say, waving him out of my office. Five minutes later, he returns, leading the three of them in. I motion for them to take seats while I gather my notes. This is going to be a long ass day

"Miss Klein, give us a summary of our current analysis?"

"Yes sir. We've completed a SWOT analysis, and while our brand and team are solid, we need to get more out there, and tap deeper into the market."

"Our goal is to boost our market presence by 15% over the next year. How are we gonna make that happen?"

"We're looking into a product diversification strategy," he explains. "The plan is to introduce fresh, exciting options that align with what our customers are looking for. We're also planning to collaborate with some popular influencers and Celebrities to help spread the word and create buzz. Plus, we're actively listening to feedback from past users to improve the product even more." He pauses, then adds, "I've already made a list of people we could reach out to—would you like to hear it, sir," I nod, signalling him to continue.

"Liam Novak, a tech and lifestyle influencer least followed, but he is trusted by most people; Jordan Albrecht, a Gen Z fashion and beauty icon, has the most following among the list and is most liked by recent gens; Amara Cole, an actress and eco-conscious advocate, second most following in the list and an A list actress with almost no drama; Theo Nash, a luxury travel blogger, fourth most following with connections; and Cassidy Lee, a family-focused content creator third most following." my ears perk up hearing Jordan's name, I didn't know she was in that industry.

"How do they actually help us?"

The meeting is done, finally. Talking should be considered a workout.

"Sir, your mother transferred an interviewee to your schedule," Kendrick informs me.

"Tell her im busy,"

"She's already here," Of course, she is.

"Tell her, im unavailable," Kendrick sighs and plays an audio clip from my mother.

If you don't interview that girl, you'll be seeing your precious library and books go up in flames.

And then she wonders why we don't talk. I seriously don't like it here.

"Bring her in,"

"Good Morning, sir," The interviewee struts in with a smirk, trying to look charming. I notice the toilet paper trailing from her heel and repress a sigh as she leans forward, offering a handshake with a dip to show off her cleavage. I keep my hands locked together on the table and stare at her face, to be respectful. My grandparents raised me right.

"Why are you here? Why do you think you're fit for this position?"

"I have several years of customer service experience and completed relevant aviation training," she replies, shifting every few seconds. I seriously couldn't care less about her answer but it irritates me how she keeps moving in her seat, it's bothering me.

"How do you prioritize and manage tasks?"

"I always focus on safety first, followed by immediate needs and then planned services. I rely on organization and clear communication." why is her voice like that? It drags out every fucking word, I am physically resisting the urge to cut her off. Why can't she talk like Jordan?
