(At the Sky Temple: No One's POV)
The team made it to the Temple as they hide themselves, while trying to cross a narrow path so they can hear the conversation between D'Vorah and the Revenants.
D'Vorah: Lord Shinnok is nearly finished. Soon the Jinsei's corruption will be irreversible.
Kitana: The invasion can then proceed. Raiden and his allies will be unable to offer resistance.
Jin's foot nearly slipped off, but he managed to catch himself as the others looked at Jin to make sure he was okay and continued on.
Lei Kang: Once the realm falls, our path to victory will be clear. Advise Lord Shinnok that the Oni and Orochi are ready. At his command, we'll unleash them on Earthrealm.
D'Vorah nods then walks away as Kung Li and Smoke approach the group.
Lei Kang: Have you found Raiden's portal to the Heavens?
Kung Li: Yes. But his words protect it. We can't break through.
The team peeks their heads to see the Revenants.
Kitana: That is unacceptable. After Earthrealm is destroyed, we must complete Lord Shinnok's vengeance: Invade the Heavens and destroy the Elder Gods.
Lei Kang: Come.
Lei Kang walks past Kung Li and Smoke before they start following Lei Kang, leaving Kitana and Sindel behind.
The team was shocked to hear that they were going to invade the Heavens.
Takeda: Make war on the Heavens?! If Shinnok can take down the Elder Gods...
He said as he looked back at Jacqui.
Jacqui: End of the universe. Got it.
(Y/N): We really need to stop them.
Kung Jin: Kung Li... To see her like this...
Cassie: We'll all be hangin' 'round the Netherealm water cooler if we don't pull this off.
She said while checking if it's okay to continue.
Cassie: C'mon.
They continued, until the ground underneath Takeda gave out and he fell, but (Y/N) managed to grab his hand in time.
Jacqui: Takeda!
Sindel and Kitana heard Jacqui, catching wind of their presence, which made Cassie and Jin go to fight them with Cassie fighting Sindel and Jin fighting Kitana.
The fight between Cassie and Sindel ended briefly when Sindel slapped Cassie back a bit.
Sindel: Has your mother ever told you what I did to her friends? Killed them all in the blink of an eye.
Cassie: And your own daughter. You proud of that?
Sindel: We are bonded in death. You will join us... And I will give you a proper upbringing as I make (Y/N) ours!
They began to fight.
(With the Trio)
Jacqui was trying to help Takeda get up from the cliff, but he was just barely out of her reach as (Y/N) was was trying to pull him up as he was hanging with his knife in the wall.
Takeda: I thought you were way stronger than this, (Y/N).
(Y/N): I am. It's just that my strength is limited, so I'm saving it for Shinnok.
