Johnny Cage and Cassie's team are gathered in a room where Johnny tells his story of their last battle against Shinnok.
Johnny: Raiden told me later that I'm descended from some Mediterranian war cult. "Bred as warriors for the gods". I've never been able to re-summon the green halo. Raiden thinks it was triggered when I saw a loved one about to die.
Kung Jin scoffs.
Kung Jin: How 'bout you, Cassie? Can you summon anything like that? Or did it skip a generation?
Takeda: Take it easy Jin...
Cassie: We didn't need a halo in Darfur... Or Iran, or Kurdistan. *looks to her left* Did we, Jacqui?
Jacqui: Nope, we didn't.
(Y/N): Just because we did all that without the green halo, doesn't mean we can get ahead of ourselves. Underestimating an enemy can lead to your downfall.
Jacqui: We know, we know. Shoalin monks ever send you there, Jin?
Kung Jin: I've seen plenty of action. (Y/N), Takeda, and I. Stuff that'd blow your Special Forces minds-
Cassie: Fuc-
Johnny: At ease. You're all here, because you deserve to be. You're beautiful and unique snowflakes.
While, Johnny was saying that, he was glad he manged to stop Cassie from saying the "f" word in front of (Y/N) and signals Cassie about it and when she realized that, she was very, very, VERY glad he stopped her.
(Y/N): I don't know what that means, but thanks daddy.
Johnny: You're welcome. Now... As I'm sure you're unaware, judging from the lack of gift cards... Today is our team's six-week anniversary. Secretary Blake says he's pleased with our progress.
Kung Jin: You could spit in his hair and he'd be "pleased with our progress..."
Jacqui: He was smart enough to have Mr. Cage put this team together.
Takeda: I'm glad the Shirai-Ryu chose me to join. New places... New faces...
He looks at Jacqui and she rolls her eyes.
