Bella's POV:-From the moment he left, I can't help but think about him again. I decided to head to Lily's room to do a check-up on her.
I knocked on the door but there was no reply. I opened the door and there it was. All the mess created by Lily, but she was nowhere to be seen in the room. This girl. I picked up all the books and crayons lying on the bed and kept them in the case. I changed the bed sheets and headed downstairs.
I saw my mom in the kitchen baking cookies. "Mum, Do you want any help?" I asked her.
"No dear, I will do it. Thank you. Just go and keep a watch on Lily. She went with Austin to play with Iris in the neighbourhood. You know how careless she becomes sometimes while playing." She replied.
"Oh okay. Don't worry. I will keep a watch on her." I replied warmly.
I went to my room, took my phone and headed to our neighbourhood. As I reached as saw Lily, Austin and Iris playing together.
"Austin, I told you not to touch my ph-" I heard a voice looked at the direction of the speaker. I was surprised to meet with the pair of same amber eyes again. He stopped talking when his eyes travelled to me.
"Sissy!!!" Lily exclaimed as she saw me and rushed to me for a hug. "Good thing you came. You know Xander won't let us play anything. He is going all strict on us." She complained to me giving me the pout. I
"Ok Lily, I will scold him. You go and play with them and no fighting and screaming. Got it?" I asked her trying to sound little strict and serious but failing miserably.
"Ok Sis." She replied as walked back to her friends.
I turned my face to meet with the same that I can't stop thinking about. We were staring at each other for good ten seconds. Before I could say anything he cut me off.
"Whatever Lily said isn't true. I do let them play. But they can't freaking sit at one place." He said looking anywhere but me.
"They are kids. They are meant to be not sitting at one place," I told him with little chuckle.
" Let's sit there at the bench. Yeah? He motioned and I nod my head in agreement. We went together and I tried to make myself comfortable around him.
"We haven't had a proper conversation. So ya, Myself Alexander. You can call me Xander for short. Everyone call me the same. And you?" he asked.
"Isabella. You can call me Bella for short." I replied in the same way as him.
"Bella? He said testing my name on his lips.
That sent a shiver down my spin. Wait what was that?"Is it okay if I call you Alex?" I asked him.
"Nope, you can't." He replied with a smirk.
"Why?" I huffed.
"Because no one calls me Alex." He shrugged.
"That's Good then. Let me the only one who calls you Alex." I said with a smile.
"Ok fine. Do whatever you want." he said disheartened that I wasn't giving up.
"What are you doing here? I mean at here, Austin's house? I thought you live in our opposite side. I mean that night I saw you there." I asked him before I could think.
"Bella. If you haven't figured that out then let me tell you that, My dad, your dad and Austin's dad are best friends and business partners. So that explains why we all live in the same neighbourhood. And I am here because Austin's mom and dad are gone to a business meeting and as a elder, they have requested me to babysit their sweet lovely kids. Note the sarcasm." He simply replied with a sarcastic smile.
"Oh I will stay with you then and help you babysit them." I offered to help him.
"Thank you so much ." He said lowering his head a little in an attempt to hide his face.
