Road Trip

"Lory!" Mom yells from downstairs

"Yes!?"

Mom comes up the stairs and into my bedroom

"pack" she tells me

"w-what?"

"Pack, were going on a roadtrip"

I frown "mom-"

"plase dont leacture me about it"

Sighing, i grab my black suitcase, and start stuffing thigns in "any plans?"

"not-not really, i was thinking to take Rory to Harvard-"

"bleh" i say, then an idea popped into my head, and i grabbed my phone

"whats up?" Cassie asked

"how would you like to go no a road trip to see Steven?"

"im just saying!" Cassie says from the drivers seat of my convertable

"well dont! thats weird, shes my sister" i say, putting on huge black sunglasses

"fine" she huffs "i think its kinda badass of your mother to go for a road trip when her wedding is this weekend"

I shrug

"what did she say when she told you to pack?"

"she didnt have to" i say, putting my feet on the dashboard "she called my dad at the bachelorette party, when everyone else was calling there partner"

"hm"

"can we stop here? i wanna get Steven a gift basket of stuff"

"sure"

We pull into a parking lot of a small mall, i grab my purse, and Cassie and i walk in

The first thing we get is a basket and fill it with all of Stevens favorite snacks, then we get some snacks and drinks for us

"how much longer?" She asks, as i get in the drivers seat, her sprawled out in the back

"not long" i tell her, pulling out of the parking lot, and going on our way

45 minutes past, and we get to New York

We get to the apartment building, and park in the in-ground parking lot and we make our way up the stairs, basket in my hand

"does he know were coming?" Cassie asks

"Laurel does" i tell her, as we get to the third floor, and we approached a door with a  big number '57' on the door, i glance over at Cassie, who is taking her pink hair out of the messy bun she had it in, and is finger-brushing it

I shake my head as i ring the doorbell

"ill get it!" i hear a voice yell, then the door opens

"Suprise!" Cassie and i yell

Stevens eyes widen, and he smiles down at us

Cassie gives him a hug first, then its me

He invites us inside, and we walk into his gorgeouse kitchen, i set the basket down on the marbel island

"Does my mom know your coming?" He asks, opening the fridge, and handing us both a can of Coca-Cola

"ya, we called her on our way up here" I said, popping open the can

"so, um, i-i didnt see you at Conrads funeral, Lory"

I held my head down "i was stil in the hospital, im sorry"
