It was late at night in Crystal Cove as most people were relaxing for the day. And at the moment, Daphne was helping babysit a boy named Arthur. Daphne was currently reading a book while Arthur was watching a cartoon. Said cartoon was about a talking vegetable named Broccolihead who had no idea how to do his job. After several minutes, Arthur was laughing up a storm at the cartoon. But once it had finished, Daphne had turned off the TV.

Daphne: Bedtime, Arthur.

Of course, Arthur was a bit sad that it was his bedtime. But he listened as Daphne lead him to his bedroom upstairs. Arthur's room was pretty much your standard room for nine year olds. A fairly sized bed, a closet and dresser, and a desk for his computer, along we a few action figures. And as Daphne tucked Arthur in, he thanked her for being an amazing babysitter. Once Arthur was tucked in, Daphne had turned off the lights so Arthur could get some sleep. Once she did, Daphne made her way back to the living room.

Arthur's parents weren't going to for another couple hours. So Daphne decided to continue reading the book she brought. Little did she know that things were going to be taking a dangerous turn. Because right outside was an unknown creature wrapped in bandages and some wearing Central American cloth and mask. And it seemed to be watching the house that Daphne was babysitting at. After just standing there for a few minutes, the ghoul pulled out a pan flute and had began playing it.

Up in Arthur's room, he was drifting off into sleep. But when he heard the pan flute, he was suddenly put into some sort of trance. Back downstairs, Daphne was finishing up another page in her book. That is until she had suddenly heard someone playing the pan flute. Unlike Arthur, Daphne didn't really seem affected by it at all. Though she was really confused by the way the pan flute was being played. Let alone why someone would be playing it this late at night. And it sounded like it was coming from right outside too. Little did Daphne know was that something bad was about to happen.

Daphne: That's odd, who would be playing a pan flute at this hour?

So Daphne went to check the window to see if she could find the pan flute player. Once she moved the curtain back enough, she saw the ghoul right under a street light. And she felt a sudden chill go down the back of her spine. As if this person, or thing, was looking right on through her. That's when Daphne heard a crash come from right upstairs. And she immediately went to go check on if Arthur was safe or not. Once she got to Arthur's room, she saw that he was out of bed. But for some unknown reason, Arthur was just standing in the corner, facing away from Daphne.

Daphne: Arthur? Are you all--?

Before she could finish, Arthur had turned to face her. But it wasn't the same Arthur that Daphne had tucked in a few minutes ago. His skin was grey, his hair was long and white, his eyes were yellow, and his teeth and nails were razor sharp. This had caused Daphne to scream as Arthur then tried to attack her. This caused Daphne to freak out more as she went into panic mode and started running. She had quickly ran downstairs with the now monster Arthur in pursuit. Once she was downstairs, Daphne quickly made a run for the door.

Sadly, Daphne didn't realize that she forgot about the chain lock still being in. So the door wasn't able to open very far before the chain had stopped it. That's when the monster Arthur had tried to pounce on her. But Daphne was able to move at the last second, which caused Arthur to slam into the door. Then Daphne saw a window with a simple hook lock on it. So she quickly made her way to the window, lifted the lock, and jumped out. Once she was outside, Daphne was about to start running for it. She knew she had to get somewhere safe to call for help.

That's when she realized Arthur was no longer chasing her. So she looked back to Arthur's house to see him lock the window before vanishing. Then she turned to where that mystery person was standing. Only for Daphne to see that whoever or whatever it was had dissappeared too. This had brought so many questions through Daphne's head. Such as who the heck was that weird mystery pan flute player? And what on earth did that thing do that caused Arthur to change? One thing was certainly clear, she had to tell the rest of the gang.
