CURRENT TIMELINE OF VÁLI AND MELISSA'S LIVES—

973— Finn and Váli Mikaelson are born in the spring with Finn being born at least seven minutes before him. Over time after their births, the twin brothers each become really close with their older sister Freya.

978– At the age of 5, the twin brothers find their sister Freya being stolen away from them by a woman that they would later know to be known as their Aunt Dahlia. And as a result of Freya being taken from them, the once close twin brothers grow distant with each other. While Finn dotes on their mother Esther, Váli grows to hate sharing anything with anyone, no matter who they are. His hatred for sharing things with others solely stems from his belief that if he didn't share some a fondness for Freya, she wouldn't have been taken away from him. So, he would simply turn his attention to his father Mikael and his younger siblings Elijah, Klaus, Kol, Rebekah and Henrik. And slowly but surely, he only ever pays attention to Mikael and his three youngest siblings Kol, Rebekah and Henrik. But he never does give any sort of attention to Finn. He simply chooses to ignore his older twin brother.

1001– 28-year-olds Finn and Váli are made into the first ever vampires by their parents, along with their four other remaining siblings after the death of their youngest brother Henrik.
