𝚃𝚑𝚊𝚝 morning Iris woke earlier than most of the clan, the sunlight had shot her in the eyes as it rose up from the horizon. It practically blinded her as her normally large pupils turned into diamond shaped slits.

Due to that startling beginning to the day, Iris forced herself to get dressed. The previous evening Tsireya had given her a beautiful outfit, it had turquoise beads hanging down from the middle of a seaweed bra.

She gently combed her hair then went and sat at the edge of the platform outside the hut. She closed her eyes and held her head back enjoying the sunlight on her skin. She dipped her feet into the water, it was refreshing.

She sighed steadily, it was a quiet morning. Very peaceful. There were no thoughts in Iris' head until she let her mind wander. She remembered the fall. And the visions. What were they, who was that person?

Her head fell down and she looked at her legs. She gently moved them creating small, circular ripples gliding outwards towards the sea. What did the figure in the visions want with her, and what were they trying to tell her?

She sighed once more, this time a lot heavier. Then the sound of footsteps came from behind her. She shot her head around threateningly to see him. The handsome boy from yesterday. He awkwardly scratched the back of his head as her mouth gaped a little before snapping shut like a clam and letting her eyes trail up and down him.

"Uhm..." he mumbled uncertainly as his hand dropped to his side.

Her eyes narrowed, "What." she spat as she stood up to be somewhat level with him. He was very tall, almost as tall as Neteyam. Or maybe it was just the fact she was short.

"I uhm, came to apologise...for what happened yesterday. With the others and I." he gave her a smile, but Iris could see right through is lying teeth.

"Mhm..." She snorted slightly, "Who set you up to this, 'apology'? you are a terrible liar."

His warm smile broke into a small, genuine frown, "No one! Okay, well maybe my Father- but!" he stuttered.

Oh how Iris longed she hadn't but she giggled slightly at his response, but she quickly coughed and covered it up, "Mhm...so you're not genuinely sorry. Are you?" she raised her eyebrows and gave him a sassy glare before wafting her hand before his face, "Talk to me when you have a real apology, fish tail." She spun on her heel and sat down dipping her legs in the water again.

"No- I am sorry! Genuinely!" He sat beside her and reached out his hand, "Malu."

She looked at his goofy smile unsure before pinching the first few of his fingers and shook his hand, "Iris..."
