That Damn Cheater

Chapter 9

JIMIN'S POV

I have been tapping my feet continuously for an hour .

The doctors took Jungkook inside the OT about an hour ago. But nobody stepped out since then.

Worried, I started chewing on my nails .
I turned around by the sound of wild galloping towards my direction .
I was welcomed by a hard panting and sweating Namjoon.

"How is he? Did doctors say anything?"

Unable to form my words, I just shook my head in denial.

Heaving long breaths, Namjoon sat beside me and patted my back .

"He'll be okay.  Don't worry . He's our strong man." he said with a smile which didn't reach his eyes.

I hung my head low and prayed for Jungkook to come out well.

In between my vigorous foot tapping, hyung drew my attention by asking ,
"Hey, did you inform this to Su-eon? Maybe she should be here to see her husband. "

To which I replied , "I haven't informed her of this yet .Besides, I don't know if she'll come."

Hyung furrowed his brow, making a cross, and said ,
"Why would you say that ? No matter what, they fought over, but if she knew this, she would bawl her eyes out crying for him. Just go , give her a call, and tell her about Jungkook. "

Uncertain I held my cell and made a call to Su-eon.

JUNGKOOK'S POV

In my dreams, I was lost in a dimension where all I felt was nothing but peace .
As I saw Su-eon's smiling face.
I could feel myself drifting away and felt utmost peace .
But my peace was disrupted by the nagging sounds of beeping and dripping.

I tried to open my eyes but shut them back due to intensity of light. Cautiously again tried , and after a few attempts, I gawked around to see all white and tubes being attached to me .
Seems like a hospital room, but how did I end up here?

SU-EON'S POV

I felt numb by the news, Jimin-shi just broke to me.

Before receiving his call, I decided to decline but still answered the call to hear such horrible news .

He said that Jungkook was admitted to the hospital, and by the look of it , maybe he tried to kill himself.
What kind of stupid branded pig is he ? How could he think of something like this? Did he not think of me before doing something like this?

Suddenly, the thought struck me  , maybe he did this just because of me? Did he attempt a suicide just because to accept his apology?

That thick, skulled moron .

I deliriously prayed God to have him safe and sound .
I picked my purse and phone . And fled to see Jungkook.

JUNGKOOK'S POV

The doctor stood next to me and kept scribbling something on paper.

"So, what do you remember from before? How did you end in such a dreadful state? "

I could feel the eyes on the me , yet I didn't dare to lift my head up.

The doctor sighed and said ,
" Gentlemen,  sorry, but now I need to inform the police about this case.
If he can't answer us about how he ended that way,  then it could be a hostile attack over him, too.
I agreed to your request because I thought he could clear up for us."

When they were about to leave ,

"I....I did that , though not consciously. "

I felt Namjoon hyungs deep stare peircing through my soul.

"And what is that supposed to mean. Care to explain Jungkook. " Namjoon hyung barked.

NAMJOON'S POV

We were waiting for the doctor in his cabin while he performed some tests on Jungkook.

Jimin, who sat beside me , has been quite since then.
I thought he was worried about Jungkook. That's why he was quiet, but he seemed unreadable .

"Jimin, you good? Don't worry, it will be fine."
He just nodded.

Jimin's dubious behavior towards Jungkook raised many red flags in my mind .
He sure does know something that is not easy to deal with.

In some while , the doctor arrived only to give some not so very good news.
