That Damn Cheater

Chapter 10

NAMJOON'S POV

Things were out of place, I knew that, but this is ,this is all crap.

"Jungkook, you know this is ridiculous. This mouth shutting of yours won't take us anywhere."

After a long pause , I took a deep breath to calm myself .

I asked after composing myself,
"Look , the doctor said you were highly intoxicated by alcohol , to such an extent that you were on the brink of coma state. What do you have to say about it? "

"I..I did drink, though , but I didn't try to kill myself . Not there, at least." Jungkook feebly replied, especially the last part.

Giving a side eye to Jimin , I continued my interrogation.

"Hyung, please, this is just .. just nothing. I can't explain . I don't have any answers to any of your questions. Please just leave me . Just leave me alone . This is all I deserve.  Go . Just go." Weeping in agony, Jungkook cried his lungs out.

While Jimin stared out of the window to avoid any part in this conversation.

Hearing all commotion, the doctor rushed in to calm the patient and drive us out of the room .

While waiting outside the hospital room , I felt my patience running thin.

"Jimin, I think this is taking too much . You need to start talking . I'm well aware things are not in place and you , for sure, have a good hunch of it . So , just start spilling. Will you? " I emptied my burning thoughts on him .

"Namjoon hyung, you must be feeling sympathetic towards that bastard, but let me tell you, he deserves none of that . He is just trying to redeem himself through such ways."he spat.

"Jimin,  I need you to come clear . What is this all about ? You knew everything, yet you keep it to yourself . "

"What do you want, huh ? To tell you that Jungkook cheated on Su-eon, that too in front of her, on their bed, on their own anniversary.  Is this what you want to hear ?"
Jimin was yelling on top of his lungs while exclaiming these brazen facts to me.

I stood numb , didn't know how to react? Jungkook did so ? Can he really do this ? Is this what was wrong all along ?

"Why didn't I know of this ? It's already half a month since then, but none of them nor you breathed it out ."

When I received no response from Jimin,  I fiercely turned around to hold his collar.  Only to follow his line of vision to welcome a disheveled Su-eon,  glancing at us with wet eyes.

JUNGKOOK'S POV

Staring out of the window of this dead room was my only entertainment and way to keep myself from ripping all these tubes fixed in me .

Heaving a deep sigh, I thought if Su-eon knew about me? Will she visit me if she knew?
Probably not , she will be far more stubborn now than ever.

I felt a scratchy throat and tried extending my hand to reach the side table.

The water jar was placed a little afar, so I tried leaning forward. 
A sudden jerk brought me to fall off the bed .
I prepared myself to embrace the pain, but before that,  two warm hands embraced me.
The soft touch brought tears in my eyes as I recognized the person I yearned for.

She made me sit back properly after adjusting the pillows, supporting me .
I kept my vision fixed on my fidgeting fingers .
I dearly wanted to hold her in my eyes but dared not to lift my head.

She held the glass half filled in front of me.

"Have it. The doctor said you were deadly dehydrated. Take your fill."

Her voice, though, was as cold as ice, but yet I felt jitters in my senses.

Deadly silence surrounded us. None of us ushered any words. My eyes kept fixed on the water in the glass .
Somehow, that was a good escape from her dreaded stares.

A heavy sigh from the other gave a ahead way to our little conversation.

"Are you feeling better now?"

I replied with a nod without meeting her gaze.
There was a long, very long silence amongst us.

I wanted to see her and wanted to talk to her, but I knew I had lost all my consent for that.

Suddenly, she stood up and left the room .

This was it .
She can't stand being in a room with me . She can't bear the mere sight of me . She loathed me endlessly.

I knew and realized it in that moment that now it was surely the end for me .

I dearly hoped to die back then to witness her leave me again.
