Earth 1993: Green Lantern

Beware My Power

    Kyle punched Parallax with a construct of brass knuckles. Then he spun around and kicked the villain to the chest with rocket boots, then fired the thrusters. Kyle did a backflip and then looked at Parallax as his rings glowed brightly. He just breathed hard as he kept his hands up, making sure to keep his guard up against Parallax.

    Parallax smiled as he wiped his mouth. "I felt that," he spoke in his demonic voice, he then created a hand construct and grabbed Kyle. Spun him around then flung him into the moon, he flew down and landed with a superhero landing. Moondust flung up as he walked through to see Kyle groaning and barely moving. "Come on Kyle," he taunted and grabbed his neck, holsting his body up. "The other lanterns and even Razer put up more of a fight with less creative constructs," he informed before punching Kyle square in the solar plexis.

    Kyle landed roughly on the ground of the moon. He looked at his ring, wasn't sure if he had enough power left or not but he was still willing to fight and not give into fear. "Need more power," he coughed, spatting up blood. He slowly got up to be met with another punch by Parallax.

    Parallax got punched a few times but he kept on wailing down on Kyle. "I absorbed the entire Central Power Battery," he stated before delivering a uppercut. "I have unlimited energy yours has to be running out soon with how much constructs you made," he deduced before flying up and punching Kyle into the surface of the moon again. Kyle was about to get back up until Parallax landed on him with one foot on his back. "Give up Kyle, we both know how this ends," he ordered, raising his right hand to Kyle's head.

    Kyle was trying to figure out how this will end, his life started to flash before his eyes. He started to close his eyes before the images went to Alex, and how she was killed. This caused Kyle's eyes to widen as his ring glowed with power. He got Parallax's foot off of him and in a giant explosion of green energy, Parallax was sent flying back. Kyle breathed hard as he held up his ring, his protective aura was now starting to blink and fade.

    Parallax's armor had a single crack in it while blood came from his mouth and above his mask. He tapped his forehead and winced, feeling the pain coming from his head. "That little insignificant," he hissed. His eyes glowed yellow as his hands glowed with yellow energy with slight hues of green. He thrusted his hands forward and blasted his energy at Kyle.

    Kyle slowly stood up, even staggered a bit, then looked up at the beam of energy. "I'm not going to die," he whispered until a whale like call came from his left. He turned his head as green energy quickly surrounded him and enveloped his entire body.

    Parallax smiled as the explosion went off and he used his own energy to heal his body. "Finally, nothing can stop me now," he whispered as he turned away to fly back to Qward.

    A blast of huge green energy came from the smoke of the explosion and hit Parallax right in the back. The villain turned around to see a bright green glow coming up and hovering before him. "What?!" He yelled then fired his green with yellow beams.

    The being held up its right hand and took the energy before holding it. The yellow energy was filtered out and then a bigger beam of green energy was fired back at Parallax. He created a shield construct but to only have it shattered. Parallax was pushed back while the glow died down. "How is this possible?"

    Kyle Rayner was revealed to still be alive, his costume however changed. The black undersuit reflected more space with stars within it, emerald gauntlets on each arm, a black green lantern symbol on his chest with the circle in the center glowing green, a green belt, and almost looked more like John Stewarts outfit more than anything else. "Parallax, go back to Qward where you belong," Kyle ordered.

    Parallax looked at Kyle as he then sensed a huge amount of willpower coming from the body of Kyle. Almost as much fear energy that poured throughout his body. "You... are a being of the emotional spectrum."
