"Oh my godddddddd" the groan practically melts out of your teeth as the smell of fried pastries and herbal brews hits your nostrils.
Then you remember that you can be perceived by others and quickly shut your trap.
You lower your head as you pass through the entrance of the tea house. This is your fourth time here and each time you've visited someone different had been running the front.
This time, of course, was no different."Peace be upon you, sister!" The stout Omnic behind the counter greets you excitedly. He is dressed in the usual Monk garb. Light colored fabric adorned with a red accent cloth, tassels, etc. Some of the Omnic Monks wore other colors besides red but you observed that it wasn't very common.
He had 4, yellow, LED dots in the center of his head aligned in a 2x2 manner. "What may I get you this morning? Do you need any suggestions?" You were studying him, and he probably noticed.
Guilt ate away at you as you clear your throat to answer."Uhmmm can I have 4 cups of N-nepali Chiya? And uhh one Sel Roti? Um please and thank you.." You were still unsure if you were saying it correctly, none of the Monks ever corrected you so you assumed you were doing alright.
The small Omnic nods and disappears back into what you assume is the kitchen. As you wait you dig your coin purse out of your bag and count the contents within.
You have 900 rupees on hand. This should be enough.
Lost in your thoughts you don't even notice the presence suddenly next to you.
"Good morning, Y/N."You almost jump out of your skin. You were absolutely not used to being called on by name here. But you recognize the voice and turn to its owner.
"Good Morning, Zenyatta, great to see you again!" You gave him a toothy smile, hoping to hide your panic. You still have time to complete his request yet you still feel nervous in his presence for some reason. It was like coming home with a bad report card and your parent saying "I'm not mad, Y/N, just disappointed...""Wonderful to see you again as well. I am glad to see you enjoying other parts of our village after being here for such a short time. How has everything been settling since we last met?" He asks with interest. It had been a long time since someone was actually interested in how you were actually doing.
"Oh yeah, this has totally become my favorite spot. The tea here is literally addictive or something..." you chuckle as you trail off thinking about when the other Omnic would appear. "Anyways, I'm on schedule to finish your order tonight if I don't mess around so I'd say things have been going pretty well."
Smooth. Confident. Nice job."That is most excellent to hear.-" Zenyatta starts is cut off by the smaller Omnic exiting the kitchen.
"I do apologize for the wait, Dear sister, this is my first time in tea rotation!" He happily apologizes as he walks out with the large tray balancing the cups and roti. Your mouth watered at the sight and you waved him off. "Ah no worries, I had good company." You shoot a friendly wink towards the Omnic next to you. "How much?" You smile brightly at the vendor and open your purse.Zenyatta observed the interaction.
"800 rupees, please!"
You hand the Omnic the 900 and took the empty thermos out of your bag. He counts your change as you unscrew the top and dump each beverage from the tray inside.
"Thank you for your patronage, sister, all proceeds go towards the Monastery, I hope to see you again!" He holds the 100 rupees in change in both of his hands out to you. You screw the top back onto your thermos and accept the coins with both of your hands as well. "Thank YOU! The tea smells absolutely delicious." The Omnic clasps his hands together, much like Zenyatta would do to show what you assume was joy, and bows lightly before returning to the kitchen. You wrap the roti in some cloth and place it along with the thermos back in your bag. Placing the 100 rupees back onto the counter.
