Heyyyy I just wanna start off by saying I'm SORRYYYYYY. I'm finally writing this again. So like— enjoy. Our man is finally here. 💜 (ps I've edited the previous chapters so if you care to reread some things may be slightly different!!)
———————————————————————————

Minutes, that feel like hours, pass you by.

Each energy unit was neatly aligned and dated in the box they were brought in. Absolutely perfect.

Another series of knocks. This time slightly louder. Okay so you didn't imagine the sound, that's good! Sleep deprivation hadn't driven you batty.

Rising from your prison of parts and pieces you lift the box with both arms. It was heavy and you did not want to waste the hours of your hard work by dropping it. Weaving your way through the cardboard cluttered maze that was your work area, you arrive at the shuttered door. You see a familiar figure, his back facing the window, looking towards the other, snow capped, buildings surrounding your little shop. His patience on full display as he waits for you to fumble with your shutter locking mechanism.

With a swift lift and a swing you stand before him, box proudly on display. You had carefully organized each battery pack by serial number and model code for easy retrieval. Despite the box it came in, it's contents were deemed a masterpiece by your standards.

"Greetings valued customer, wonderful to see you again! Here you are, 40 restored power units!" Your smile is wide, and tired. You hope he can't tell you've pulled an all nighter. Especially with the epic canned salesman voice you just used.
You falter slightly when he doesn't say anything right away. "Ah- so... unfortunately 8 of the units were completely unsalvageable- I uh will special order them for you once I find some replace-"

He gently raises a hand and opens his arms gently to receive the package.

You quickly shut your trap and carefully transfer the box's weight over to him.

"No need to worry, my dear friend." He finally speaks up after the units are placed in his arms.
"We are so grateful for your service, Y/N." His tone ever gentle and genuine. "Please, how may I repay you for this kindness?" You unintentionally gawked at him.

You never even considered how much for payment. 'Does the Monastery even have the money to spend on things like this?' You wondered. You shake your head to break your stupor and wave your hand dismissively.
"Pssshh- don't worry about it, dude. This one's on me. I already had most of the replacement parts lying around so it didn't cost me much to do." You shrug nonchalantly, hoping to put him at ease.
"That simply won't do. You must be compensated for your generous efforts-"
He pauses mid sentence before readjusting the box. Eyeing him as he struggles slightly. You take the opportunity to cut him off.

"-Oh no no no no that won't be necessary. Think of it as... as thanks for welcoming me to this Little Mountain Town !"

Nice excuse. He can't argue with you now.

A robotic sigh escapes him, he knows he's been bested.
But not beaten.

"Perhaps you would be interested in joining me for tea then?"

Hook line and sinker.

————————————————————————

The journey up the path to tea house was always far less favorable than the one down it.

You were now holding the box and climbing higher than you've ever been since moving here. Zenyatta may be taller than you but he wasn't as strong as he looked. You opt to cradle your hard work rather than watch it struggle up the steep path and risk a loss.

You've reached the end of published parts.
