"Oooh, you're bringing me on your ship? I'll go get my stuff real quick!" Kaeya shouted playfully as his fellow eyepatch-wearing friend approached him.

Beidou chuckled. Kaeya would always make her smile.

A few minutes later, Kaeya returned, carrying a few bottles of wine, mostly Dandelion wine though. "Can I just stay for the day though? I have patrol tomorrow." Kaeya questioned her.

Beidou cracked a smile. "Sure, why not." she replied, amused by the amount of alcohol he was lugging in his arms.

"Are you even gonna finish all that wine?" Beidou asked him curiously.

"Nah, those are for your crew. Sharing is caring, right? And if I'm to be a 'good'-" Kaeya carefully lifted his hands, and did the "quote unquote" in the air, clearly being cheeky. Beidou laughed and flicked his ponytail.

"Anyway, if I'm to join your crew, might as well make the most of this day, and this wine." he finished.

Just then, they reached the beachside near Stormbearer Point. It was where Beidou's ship, the Crux, was docked.

"Ayy, crew! Did you miss me?" Beidou joked, earning her a "Yes, captain!" from the whole ship. Their attention quickly moved to Kaeya and his many bottles of wine.

Kaeya was a little disturbed by all the attention. A bead of cold sweat trickled down the side of his face.

"Captain who is this?"

"Why does he have so many bottles of wine?"

"Can we drink some?"

Questions erupted among the crew of the Crux after witnessing the strange dark-skinned man.

"Relax... relax. This is Kaeya, the Cavalry Captain of the Knights of Favonius, also known as the protectors of Mondstadt. Umm I mean the Knights of Favonius are the protectors as a whole, not just him. The reason he is carrying so many bottles of Mondstadt's most famous wine. Dandelion Wine, is because he wants to share some with you guys, and also yes, you may drink it." Beidou answered, saying all of this in a single breath.

"Wow, girly, you sure can talk." Kaeya muttered under his breath, setting the Dandelion wine into a corner on the deck of the ship, before picking out one bottle and popping the cord to get the tasty liquid hidden within.

"Well, I suppose that's all the questions. Now, we'll set sail for Liyue, where we'll take a break, and go on a journey tomorrow." Beidou said, finishing her very long answering session.

"Captain, what is Sir Kaeya to you?" a question from the crew reached Beidou's ear.

"Hmm?" she mumbled. "Repeat that again?"

"WHAT IS SIR KAEYA TO YOU?" the voice sounded again, this time louder, as if the person was shouting their vocal cords out.

"Umm, well, to be frank, he's my boyfriend..." Beidou admitted, sheepishly.

Everyone on the ship went quiet. Then, murmurs started on the ship. "So that's why Beidou has been slipping away to Mondstadt secretly..." someone who clearly couldn't tone down their volume said.

Kaeya almost spit out  the swig of wine in his mouth. I thought Beidou told her crew already? Kaeya thought, astonished.

"Umm, well, we've been dating for the past few months, and I wanted to wait until he got the chance to come here and meet all of you guys before I broke the news." Beidou hastily explained, her face flushed pink.

Nods emerged from her crew, and they all understood exactly what she meant.

Kaeya sighed in relief. So that was why.

"Enough stalling. Set sail for home!" Beidou hollered.

Cheers erupted among the crew.

During the journey to Liyue, Kaeya realised that the people among the crew were very friendly and outgoing. Some of them went up to Kaeya to congratulate him for winning Caotaing Beidou's heart, saying that from the time they had with her, their experience had been rather positive and pleasant, and also noting that the people who won over her heart would be lucky to have such a dream girl.

Others came up to him, and thanked him for his generous "donation" of Dandelion wine, claiming that they have never tasted any alcohol as good as that. Kaeya raised an eyebrow at the last part, but still smiled and shrugged it off.

Finally finishing the bottle of Dandelion wine in his hands, he walked up to Beidou, who was still steering the boat towards Liyue Harbour. "Hey beautiful." he whispered in her ear.

"Hi handsome." She responded back, not taking her eyes off the sea.

Kaeya stood behind her, and wrapped his arms around Beidou's waist. He gently rested his head on Beidou's soft brown hair, and he could swear he saw her face turn red.

Soon, they reached Liyue Harbour. When Beidou told them once again that they could take the rest of the day off for that day, they thanked their captain profusely, before flocking off the ship, and dispersing into Liyue.

"I guess it's just you and me, my guy. " Beidou whispered affectionately to Kaeya.

"I guess so." Kaeya responded.

He looked around Liyue Harbour, before Beidou directed him to the big city of Liyue.

"Wow." was the one word  Kaeya could make out after seeing Liyue's elaborate styled infrastructure, with many stairs and mostly warm colours. It was a complete opposite as compared with Mondstadt, with lower buildings and mostly cool coloured. It was nice to feel the hustle and bustle of a city, instead of the cool, free flow of people entering and exiting Mondstadt.

"Well, darling, do you like it?" Beidou asked Kaeya, patiently awaiting his answer.

"Of course I do! I'll always approve of anything you do!" Kaeya enthusiastically exclaimed in response.

Beidou grinned widely. "If even Liyue impresses him, he should see everything I've witnessed on voyages out in the sea." she thought to herself. Of course she didn't say that though. It might have hurt Kaeya's feelings if she did, and she didn't want that.

"Thank you, Beidou, for bringing me here and letting me experience the world beyond the winds, and what freedom can bring you. Beidou, I'm so lucky to have met you when you first came to Mondstadt, asking to try some Dandelion wine. Of course I'm still partial to 'Death after Noon', but you've stolen my heart the moment you walked into Angel's Share." Kaeya suddenly blurted out.

He blushed. What was that for?

Beidou replied, saying "I've also felt the same way. Ever since I walked into the tavern, and seeing a guy like you, really you stole my heart, you playful little boy."

Kaeya smiled, pulling her chin closer to his. "I love you." he said.

"I love you too."

And their lips connected, and they kissed.
