CHOOSING POSEIDON

As you stood in front of the three powerful Greek gods, you felt a weight on your shoulders, knowing that your decision would affect not only your own fate, but the fate of the gods and the world they ruled over.

You felt a lump form in your throat, and your heart sank. "How long will you be gone?" you asked, dreading the answer.

"I cannot say," Poseidon replied, his voice heavy. "It could be months, or even years. I am sorry, my love, but I must do what is necessary to protect the seas."

You felt tears prick at the corners of your eyes, and you turned away from him, unable to bear the thought of being separated from him for such a long time. "I understand," you said, your voice barely audible. "But please, come back to me as soon as you can."

Poseidon wrapped his arms around you, holding you close. "I will," he said, his voice full of love and sorrow. "I promise that I will return to you, my queen."

With that, he kissed you one last time, then vanished in a swirl of water and foam.
