Day 1 : Drop Dead

July 16, 1945. It's been an hour since we've been in the bunker my mom and dad are fighting Angela is crying and I'm trying to calm her down. If I can explain how this happened well. It was just another 'normal, Sunday morning my mother is making us breakfast my father is reading the newspaper and Angela is watching the television until she complains about seeing and hearing an alert " HELLO RESIDENTS,DO NOT PANIC AN ATOMIC BOMB IS BEING TESTED IN THE AREA THIS IS NOT A TEST,I REPEAT THIS IS NOT A TEST".

My father panicked he grabbed everything we needed and pulled me,my mother and Angel down the bunker as he locked it angel started crying and having a panic attack, mom screamed at dad scolding him "RICHARD WHY DIDNT YOU BRING HER PILLS!"
"it's not like we need it" "UGH RICHARD THE CHILDS HEALTH ISNT IMPORTANT TO YOU?!" OH SHUT UP WOMAN AT LEAST I CAN PROVIDE US A SAFE PLACE IF YOU WANT IT GO GET IT UPSTAIRS!" my father replied,slamming the keys down on the table Angel started crying even more,her breathing became intense I was overwhelmed so I started to sing a song for her which I think managed to clam her down a little.

The bunker was big with a some kind of small farm, three queen sized beds, a bathroom, a kitchen, and a small coffee reading place, my father apologized to my mother and the tense atmosphere started to come down and Angel managed to fall asleep. As I laid her on the bed my father said "thanks for calming her down champ" while patting my shoulder "you're welcome dad!" I replied. We heard banging and explosion while my dad started to sort out a day planner, my mother cooked to calm herself down.

I saw angel wake up with red and puffed eyes,she sat up and ran to hug me "oh woah! What now?" I asked "why can't I just hug my big brother?" She replied while I smacked her arm "of course you can! Why can't you?" She giggled and gave me a smack back.
