Seamus was trying a spell on a cup close to Alin and Draco. Though he found it funny, Alin insisted he sat away from him and focused on his work. So he did.
"Eye of rabbit, harp string hum. Turn this water, into rum." Seamus still failed to complete the spell, he looked into the cup and shook his head. He waved his wand again as he chanted, "Eye of rabbit, harp string hum..." Harry, Ron, and Hermione sat on the large benches, making sure to avoid Draco and sit on Alin's side.
"What's Seamus trying to do to that glass of water?" Asked a curious Harry, Alin pulled him away by his robe and explained.
"Turn it into rum." She said, a bit skeptical.
"He managed a weak tea yesterday, before-" Ron was cut off when a mighty flash occurred. They all saw that the cup had exploded and Seamus was left charred, a powerful smoke floating around him. Several students laughed at this, Hermione even hid a chuckle as she fanned away the smoke with her hand. Harry turned to see Alin, who had let go from his robe and was flicking some dust from her own jumper.
"Thanks." He smiled sweetly. Alin offered the same smile and nodded. Everything had to go smoothly from now on. It was simple really, she had made sure that the newspaper was attached to his closest friend, Ron. She only had to wait.
All of a sudden, a flock of owls started flying over them and into the hall from the rafters above.
"Ah. Mail's here!" Ron exclaimed happily. Alin and Draco exchanged a look, too fast to be caught by anyone else. The owls soared by, dropping parcels to students. Harry got nothing, but he saw the newspaper Ron had put down. Alin caught a glimpse of the front page. Our parents already begun their part. Draco stared at her for a second and began packing up. They would meet outside. She kept her head on her notebook, flicking her quill swiftly as she finished off an essay on the nature of various ingredients, such as infusion of Wormwood, Powdered Root of Asphodel and Aconite, that Snape had set for the following week.
"Can I borrow this?" Harry took the newspaper as Ron nodded passively, his eyes flicking through his letters. "Thanks." The boy murmured, mostly to himself.
Neville, who was sitting in front tos Seamus and had a little bit of dirt on his face after the incident, was unwrapping a gift. It is a clear glass ball with a gold banner around it, that had smoke that turned bright red as he touched it with his hand.
"Hey, look! Neville's got a Remembrall!" Dean, a Gryffindor first-year exclaimed, curiously.
"I've read about those." Hermione jumped in. Of course she has. Alin thought to herself. Seems like youre having fun. Draco chimed in her head, she smiled a little to herself berfore internally reprimanding him for not focusing. "When the smoke turns red, it means you've forgotten something." She explained proudly.
"The only problem is, I can't remember what I've forgotten." Neville said, his brows furrowed. Alin met his gaze and approached him through the table, resting her chest on her arm as she whispered softly.
"Maybe try looking for your robe before transfiguration." Neville looked confused for a few seconds, before realizing and looking down at himself. "McGonagall is very strict when it comes to rules, isn't she?" Neville thanked her and ran out of the great hall.
"Hey, Ron, somebody broke into Gringotts, listen." Harry told his friends in an excited murmur. He read the article splayed informt of him. "Believed to be the work of dark witches or wizards unknown, Gringotts goblins, while acknowledging the breach, insist that nothing was taken. The vault in question, number 713, had in fact been emptied earlier that same day." What?! Alin and Draco exclaimed mentally at the same time. "That's odd. That's the vault Hagrid and I went to." Alin stood, packing her things, she told her 'friends' that she had finished her work and wanted to stroll to class. She left them wondering what could've happened.
