Jund's POV
She was wrong....
Snake had just slipped into a coma.
I stayed there for days, weeks, months even. until Minx had people kick me out for a while so I could get some fresh air a few times.
I went to a old park, I used to hang out at it to get away from my mom. I sat by the river and started crying.
"What's wrong young man?" A woman asked from behind.
"The person I love has been in a coma for two months" I say stopping the tears.
"What's your name, mine's Maria?" She asked.
"People call me Jund" I whip my face.
"Why do they do that?" She questioned.
"It's my last name." I stand up and look at her. She looks like a woman Snake. I chuckle at myself
"What's funny?" She asked.
"The guy I like, you resemble him. In a woman way of course. " I chuckle again.
"Who knows maybe it's my son, his father kicked him out because he liked a boy named Scott, or so he thinks, may that be your name? " she said sarcastically.
"Uh, actually Maria it is. your son wouldn't happen to go by Snake, could he? And what do you mean 'he thinks'?" I question
"Yes his nickname was Snake, I convinced his father it was wrong to be gay, because he had started beating me and I didn't want him to beat Snake. trust me I left shortly after that, and being gay is not wrong. " she explained.
"Thank you for not letting him hurt Snake and thank you for leaving him. " I thanked.
"W-Wait... Snakes in a coma?" She asked.
"I hate to break it to you, but yes." I pat her shoulder.
"He never really liked us, he was always in his room never really talked." she chuckled.
"He never talks at school, I've never heard him talk." I laugh.
"C-can I give you myphone number and when he wakes up you give me a call? I'm actually moving today, going to California " She asked.
"Of course Maria" she gave her phone number and went on her Mary way.
I walked back to the hospital, and seen Minx. "something good happened." she said.
"Not necessarily, a nice woman came along." I smile and look around.
"U-Uh, Minx has there always been so many people in a hospital? It seems crowded." I panic and It got hard to breath
Do... do I have anxiety?
"There's always been like this, something up?" She asked.
"C-Can I Go to S-Snake's room?" I asked and she nodded and I headed to his room.
I sat down on one of the chairs and put my knees to my chest.
I may have forgotten how it felt to be in a crowd, I mean I haven't been to school since this happened.
Did I develop anxiety?
I think I did.
I grab his hand and played with his ring for awhile. I decided I should play guitar.
Safe and sound?
Seems right for this situation.
Cause after he wakes up, he'll be safe.... and sound. I shall never hurt him again.
I strummed the first string to the song as I lost myself in the beat
"I remember tears streaming down your face when I said, I'll never let you go. When all those shadows almost killed your light. " I start to quietly sing, building its way up to as loud as it should.
"I remember you said don't leave me here alone, but all that's dead and gone and past, tonight. " I look down at the guitar, checking my finger placement.
"Just close your eyes, the sun is going down. " a voice joined in. I jumped at first but I look up and see....
Snake, singing along, smiling at me.
"You'll be alright, no one can hurt you now. Come morning light you and I'll be safe and sound" I smiled back
I played the guitar waiting for the lyrics to come back.
"Don't you dare look out your window darling everything's on fire. The war outside our door keeps raging on. Hold onto this lullaby even when the music's gone, gone. just close your eyes the sun is going down. You'll be alright no one can hurt you now, come morning light you and I'll be safe and sound. Ooooooo Ooooooo Ooooooo Ooooooo Ooooooo Ooooooo Ooooooo Ooooooo Ooooooo Ooooooo Ooooooo Ooooooo..." we finish the song and I have tears in my eyes.
"Jund...?" He asked.
Oh I'll never get over his beautiful deep voice.
"S-Snake?" I asked.
Was he mad that I was here? Wait... his mom said he liked me.
"Safe And Sound, one of my favorites." He smiled.
"M-Mine t-" I was cut off by a door.
"Jund, Minx said I should check up on you. Are you talking to yourself?" She asked.
"Uh, no actually. " he grabs my hand.
"H-He woke up?"Red asked.
"Fuckkkkk...." Snake trails off
"Let me see your phone i wanna prank Krism." She tossed me her phone and I called her up.
"Hello." She said.
"K-Krism, H-Hospital N-Now, S-Snake's really bad, that heart beat it too slow and he's nearly breathing" I fake cry.
"Be there in five" she hangs up.
"Okay go get Minx tell her to act scared and panicked. You got five. " she nodded and ran out.
"nice, but I wanna talk to you later, alone. " I feel my face heat up.
"O-Okay, me too. I wanted to talk to you for too reasons." I shyly say.
"Game on, Jund. Nice seeing you awake Snake. Unplug the IV " Minx stopped by really quick before running off.
"You got one minute, act dead." I say and he smiles for a split second before acting.
I pretend to sob as I hear the door open.
"W-What happened...? He can't be dead... no... no..." She stopped then slapped him across the face.
"Ow, dick head." Snake laughed
"Fuck you... Damitt than was good. " Krism said while Minx plugged back in the IV.
"Minx do you know when I can get out?" Snake asked.
"Sign these then leave, I'll tell Cry you just want to be alone for a few days" Minx winked at me.
He signed then then handed them to her as everyone else, but me, left.
"What did you wanna talk about?" He asked.
