I'm in a car, and the next thing I know BOOM. A white light flashes. I'm at a hospital, I can't see anything but I feel the tubes in my skin. Again the light. I'm crying at an orphanage hearing that my parents are dead. Flash, the light. I'm at a home with new parents still sad. The white light. I'm on the street crying again out of sadness and frustration, when my friend comes and offers me a ride home. I say I don't have one.

I wake up in an unfamiliar room but I'm used to that feeling now. When I realized I'm at my friend Beth's house. Still breathing heavily I try to go down stairs without waking anyone up to get a glass of water.

Even thought I've been having the same dream after the incident adding on each thing after the light, it still scares me and I wake up in a cold sweat.

"Hey, Amanda is it the dream again?" I hear a barely audible voice come form the room next to mine.

My attempt to get away unnoticed failed. Now I'd have to talk to Beth about it. Not that it helped but I felt good that someone really cared about how and what happened to me.

"Ya, I sorry for waking you Beth." I whispered hoping to not wake her parents.

"Oh don't worry, you got up later than usual so I got a little more sleep before you came." She whispered as well knowing that her parents would kill us if they knew we where up.

Also I usually came to Beth ever time I had the dream which was everyday. I guess she got used to me coming with a glass of water to her room since I couldn't go back to sleep in my room.

"Well, you better get a sink in your room so it's easier for me to get a glass of water." I say sarcastically. It's kinda difficult to get water because it's down stairs in the kitchen or in the only bathroom they have.

"Oh, yea that's a really, like I mean really good idea I'll talk to my parents about it." She returned my sarcasm right back at me, as she rolled over so I could climb onto her bed.

Her room, was the room at every 16 year old fan girl could hope for. Every wall had a poster of a different band, personally I don't get what's so great about them but I would never say that to her. Also, she had a walk in closet and a desk, that she put everything she was too lazy to put away on it. Beth's room was amazing and had her personality all over it, I sleep in their spare room for guests and I don't own any thing except for some clothes Beth's parents bought me.

"You know if you get a job you could buy some of your own stuff." Said Beth as if reading my mind. She knows I've always want to personalize my room and own my own clothes.

"Ya, I know I'll get one tomorrow, I just need you to come with me. Okay?" I asked her.

The last thing I see before going to sleep again is her nodding as she also falls asleep.

"Hey how did you girls sleep." Marie Beth's mom asked us as we walked down the stairs to their beautiful kitchen. It has all the latest appliances with a black island with white tiles under the black cabinets.

"Great." We reply at the same time. We're already to go and look for jobs for both of us even thought we are only 16, we need the money.

As we sit down at the island for Marie's homemade waffles, which are my favourite, we tell Marie about where we're going to and for how long. We all agreed on taking the bus and spending 5 hours in downtown.

"Okay, girls I have to go to work. I should be home at about 6 and dinner is in the fridge." Marie said as she kissed us both on the cheek.

"Ready Beth for the first day of job looking and getting money." I asked her and grabbing her hand to pull her out the door.

"Amanda stop please." Beth screamed at me as she tried to get her phone and purse before I pulled her out the door and down the street to the bus stop.

I slowed down for a few seconds then decided that she had enough time and continued to get her to the stop before the bus did because i didn't want to have to wait an extra hour for the next bus.

"Amanda what are you looking for in a job?" Asked Beth trying to imitate a reporter voice. That made me laugh so much. Trying to mock her voice I say " Why, Beth why don't you tell me first."

That made her laugh just as much as me. When I try to get her to stop so we can get on the bus that just stopped for us. Taking out our presto passes and taking a seat in the back away form any people.

"I'm not looking forward to sitting like this for the next half hour." I sated. Beside me Beth nodded showing that she agrees with me on that.

"Hello? Beth, oh never mind." I tried to talk to her when I noticed she had her ear buds in. She always had to have music on no madder what we did even if it's homework.

I lean back and go over what I'm going to say to see if I can get a part time job that doesn't interfere with school and my actives. I start day dreaming about shopping and the start of high school and meeting new people. When I feel myself getting rocked to sleep by the movement of the bus. I welcomed it and fell asleep.
