Him

He's here but how and why? I thought he was a dream.

"Hey... Amanda I found my locker it's right over here. Are you even listening?" I could faintly hear Beth talking to me. "AMANDA, you look like you've seen a ghost." She yelled at me.

I was still frozen to the spot. I had seen a ghost. I finally unfreeze after he turned to the left and walk out of my field of vision.

"Amanda, what was all that about? who did you see?talk to me!" Beth all but yelled at me.

"I..it was some one I saw in..uh what I thought was a dream?" I said hoping she would think I was crazy.

Beth just laughs. " That was a sad excuse for staring at a cute boy."

"Umm... I wasn't..." I started to defended myself but then realize that it's better her thinking that other than what really happened.

"Okay, what ever you say," Beth said slowly and using all of her sarcasm. "Well, I gotta go to my locker. Have fun finding yours." She finished with a wave as she walked to her locker, next to a 'cute' boy.

I know I'll hear all about him later. But right now I need to stop thinking about HIM and find my locker. Just as I walked down the halls thinking of the memories I've made there and how many more I'll make this year.

suddenly I hit someone's chest. This happened normally for me because of my 5'2 height, so all the boys seem to be 6 feet or more. "Sorry." I say as I step to the side to continue on my way. when a hand grabs my arm to stop me. "What..." I start but stop talking as I notice who I ran into.

It was the schools popular boy, you know the captain of the football team, always chosen for important stuff and also gets good grades. His name was Alex.

"Watch where you're going, I've already seen too much of you before." Alex said as if I was some horrible animal.

"I-I'm s-sorry." I stuttered. Wondering what happened to him sense this is the only time I've really talked to him. After his outburst he let go of me and walked off to his football buddies.

I get to my first class and till lunch its the same thing from every teacher, stuff you need to get and the normal 'what happens if you get in to trouble'. Once school was over I had one class with Beth and three classes with Him.

Its been 3 months sense school started I haven't talk to him, he hasn't tried to talk to me. Beth finally got a boyfriend 2 months and I don't have to put up with all her boy gossip. I have paid back Marie for everything and am finally using my own money.

Just when everything was great, so life just had to mess it up.

I was walking to lunch and suddenly was pulled aside, I when along because I thought it was Beth. "What do you want Beth?" I asked because before lunch she said to meet her in the cafeteria. When she didn't answer I turned to look at her. Except it wasn't her it was HIM.

"What do you want with me? Who are you? Let go of me!" I shouted at Him as I ripped my arm out of his grip. He just held on titer as I struggled and roughly push me into a dark janitor closet. " Please don't do this, don't, please." I pleaded hoping to get away.

"shhh, I'm not here to hurt you." he tried to calm me down " I don't want to hurt you, I'm trying to do the opposite of that." now that I could really pay attention to his voice it was a deep rich very masculine voice. He must be in his last year because not one guy in my grade sounded like this, or maybe I just didn't pay attention to them.

"So, if your trying to help me could you at lest tell me your name?" I asked him. Blushing because now that I was calm, I noticed how close we were to each other.

"You really don't remember me, do you? What they said was the truth." I herd him say probably to himself so I didn't answer. "Well I'm Stephanidis but you can call me Stephan." he said. Stephanidis? that must be like Greek or something.

We just stayed there in an awkward silence for what seemed like forever. "So..., can you let me go to lunch?" I finally asked Stephan. He just opened the door and step out with me behind. I started to walk away when I looked back and saw Stephan staring at me. Just as he turned his head I also saw a tinge of pink in his checks.

At the end of the day, I hadn't seen Stephan again, and managed to answer some of Beth's questions about why I wasn't at lunch. I crossed my fingers hoping she wouldn't know I was with a boy, or I would hear the end of it. My phone started to ring just as we walked into the house.

" Are you going to answer that or not Amanda?" Beth asked because she saw I wasn't moving to answer it.

"Its an unknown number, so they probably meant to call someone else." I tried to reason knowing exactly who was calling because he had giving his number to me the last class we had together. Before I could say anything else Beth graded my phone form me, and answer it.

"Hey Amanda, I thought you'd never answer." I heard Stephan answer. Beth had put it on speaker so she definably heard the masculine voice.

"Now isn't a good time Stephan!" I yelled fighting with Beth to get back my phone back.

I saw Beth get evil glint in her eyes just before she said. "So, Stephan how long have you been dating Amanda? And how did you guys keep it a secret form me?"

As I'm blabbering in the back about how were not dating. " We've been dating for 7 months." He answers and Beth just looks at me in shock as he hangs up.

" 7 MONTHS, MONTHS!" She yelled at me. I knew I wasn't getting out of this one.

"umm...I umm....ahh." I stammered trying to find something to say, as I slowed backed up trying to get to my room. " Stephan and I meat at the... " I said trying to distract her and think of a place I went and she didn't. " The book club Toronto meeting last year and kept in contact and started dating after we leaned we had so much in common." I lied as I kept moving back.

I was right in front of my bedroom door, so I quickly opened my door ran in and locked it before she noticed.

"HEY, come back Amanda. Okay I'll wait, you cant stay in there forever!" Beth said to the door. thinking I was to stay in my room.

Sense my room is on the first floor, I've climbed out the window before so that's what I did now.

With out looking back, I knew that Beth was going to stay at my door for answers I don't have yet.

"Hey, Stephan..." I say as he picks up the phone.

I called him hoping we could get our story strait before I go back and tell Beth all about our 'relationship'.

"Hello amanda, how did it go with Beth?" he asked trying (and failing) to sound sinsre and not laughing.

"Oh ya, about that. I ran to my room and had to clim out my bedroom window, to get away from her." I say as if its no big deal.

"Oh... Well.. sort about that ." Stephan said really sounding sorry.

"But that what I called you for. we need to get our back story strait." I said hoping we could agree on our lie.

After talking with Stephan about our story and getting to know him. I that I've been on the phone for an hour and I need to get home.

"By Stephan see you tomorrow." I said

Going to hang up after but before that I faintly hear him say 'goodnight my love.' but by the time I question it the line is dead.
