A/N - I am currently starting this on 5/1/23 and I'll tell you when I finish. I seriously need to stop putting off things. Cross your fingers for me because I need to do my math PSSA testing tomorrow when I have a D in it. My knowledge is completely wiped from anything that I learned. Anyway, to get to the topic of the story, I think I am going to...wing it?
A/N - It is 5/2/23 now and I think I'm going to start writing it today. My testing was so trash, I really hate math! I was second to last to finish. It was seriously hard for me. Anyway, I'm going to add 'A/Ns' every day that I work on each chapter. Like if I take only 3 days to do this, there will be 3 A/Ns on this chapter. But if I take 10 days to do the next chapter, there will be 10 of the A/Ns.
A/N - IT IS 5/6/23 I'M SO SORRY I'LL BE WORKING ON IT TODAY LIKE ACTUALLY I'VE JUST BEEN SO BUSY. OKAY NOW I'M ACTUALLY WRITING IT LMAO
Your POV:
I'm leaving everything behind since we are moving. My childhood room, the playground, my friends, my family. Everything that I have known my entire life will be gone. My mother, father, sister, and brother are the only ones that are coming with me. They all want to move to a different, more fresh house while I was dragged with them without a say.
I woke up in the car 10 minutes ago, now I am listening to my favorite songs on repeat. I see the house in the distance, it's a fairly big house and it isn't futuristic. It has a small grape arbor filled with concord grapes. Our car parks in the driveway as I release a breath. We are here, and it is time to unpack our car and the trucks that followed us.
In our car, there are the two front seats, two middle seats, and the two back seats. I'm sitting in the very back on the left. My brother and sister open their doors and jump out of the car so that I can get out and help with moving things into our new home. As I jump out, my mother and father do too.
Time Skip 2 1/2 hours later
As I walk into my new room for the first time, I notice another door. I think about what it could be, until I realize it could be our attic. I haven't entered my room the entire time I've been here because I was too busy helping with moving the couch, chairs, beds, and adding a wallpaper to my brother's room. My room is the last one that we needed to set up for today, and I told my parents I could use some help with pushing my bed up the stairs. I only just now realized that the men must've already carried my bed upstairs, since it was up here already.
I run downstairs and grab 2 buckets of light pink paint, a paint roller, and I ask my dad to carry a chair to my room. After he leaves my room, I push my bed to the middle of my room and paint the wall that my door frame is on. I continue painting my walls until there isn't a single spot that isn't coated with pink. However, I do realize that I need to add another coat of paint later today or tomorrow.
I open the door that I assume is the attic door, and get a strong smell of must. There is a ladder going up, and a trap door opening. My bed sheets are downstairs and all that I have is a mattress on a bed frame, but I sit on it and lay down. It was just now that a rare feeling overwhelmed me; Exhausted.
Next Day - Your POV:
I must've passed out on my mattress last night. I have no clue what time it is, so I sit up and open my eyes. My room is bright, the sun shines through the three windows. I slide off of my bed that is still in the middle of my room and walk to my door, opening it. I hear voices downstairs, so I feel more at ease.
