Part 9

       It's been about i can't even remember how many years, but it's been a lot since i first moved here to live with the metkayina people. i am now 16 I've learnt all i needed to know so now Aoun and i mainly just swim and hunt for fish, i often think about Neteyam but ultimately i forgot what he looks like, sounds like, acted like, it's all a blur. the people have accepted me as one of their own and no one points out my differences now i guess its cause I'm best friends with the chiefs daughter and son. I think Aoun is pretty cute, he takes me on little fishing dates, helps me keep in shape with my bow. 

       "OWW" Roxto yells as he hit his head on something. "Skxawng" Aoun said d throwing his hands up. "hmm what, what happened." i said getting up from my comfortable bed where i just then was asleep on until these kawayaveng's came in. "Hey 'evenge(girl)" Aoun said trying to play off what just happened. " hey 'evengan (boy), now tell me that you guys want of get out" i said standing up and stretching walking out to look at the water. i love the water the way it moves, how peaceful it  is. i cant believe i used to be afraid of swimming. "syor(chill out), we just wanted to know if you wanted to come fishing with us." Roxto said joining beside me. "Dont you guys get tired of fishing every single day?" "KAWKRR!!(never)" they both said yelling and running out of my hut but before they did Aoun picked me up over his shoulders and caried me with them, yelling their war cries.(whatever you want to call em) 

       " ITS NOT FUNNY AONUNG!" Roxto yells as Aoun keeps pushing him off the ilu. "Come on you have to admit it is a little funny." he had his signature smirk watching as Roxto struggled to hop back on it.  i was watching the whole thing but soon Aoun's eyes were on me. i always got scared when we made eye contact, I'm not sure why. i was about 15 feet away so he rode his ilu over to me. "Hey 'evenge(girl)." "hey 'evengan (boy)"  i say looking at him " so i was wondering-" "shh" i said not sure if i hear something "Did you just shush me?" he had the funniest face but idk what that sound was and ive never heard it before. "Fnu(quiet) do you hear that?" i said perking my ears in every direction trying to hear better. "It's coming from home, Kämakto(ride out)." the ride there wasnt super far but it definitely took a little time. "Hurry up why are you so slow" "Aoun when i get my hands on you you're dead, you hear me?" "You wish A'ya." Roxto says sticking up for Aoun, "you wanna go to Roxto?" we got off the ilu's seeing commotion and a crowd we pushed through first Aoun then Roxto and then me. 

        I saw a family a mom and dad along with 4 kids they looked oddly familiar. they signaled the "I see you" to us the oldest eyes never leaving mine. i looked around at the other people trying to remember what i had seemed to forget. "Look what is that? is that supposed to be a tail." "Roxto, No" I said hitting him upside the head. that made the eldest laugh or at least chuckle. his attention left mine and looked behind me i looked too and saw Reya coming up to us, thank god she can keep them in line im done being a babysitter. you could tell the youngest boy was in love and honestly me too. . . "its too small, how are they supposed to swim" Roxto said laughing to Aoun "do not. Roxto, Aonoung." from that they stopped not wanting to make her mad. 

       "hey" the boy says, hes so adorable, i look over at Reya to see her smiling. Just then we hear Tonowari and Ronal coming. "i see you Tonowari." the man said "I see you Jakesully" the rest of the family said i see you to him. "we are reef people, you are forest people. your skills will mean nothing here." Aoun looked at me and then at the family so did everyone else. Aoun sensed i was uncomfortable so he stepped infront of me to block peoples view. "Well we will learn your ways. am i right, there was a girl A'ya that came here, she is one of the forest people, where is she?" i stepped in sight of Jake looking at him and then everyone else, i smiled but knew it wasnt the time to say greetings during such serious matter. i then put my head down looking at the sand at my feet waiting for someone to speak. "their arms are to thin, their tails, are weak. you will be slow in the water. these children are not even true Na'vi." " i have learned to adapt so can they i can- -" Ronal looked at me and that was enough to shut me up. i hated when she was angry at me.  "They have demon blood!" everyone started hissing an growling at that(A/N: I'm going to skip the rest of the speech because I don't want to write all that. soryyy) 

       "Toruk Makto and his family will stay with us, treat them as our brothers and sisters. now they do not know the sea. so they will be like babies, taking their first breath, teach them our ways, so they do not suffer the shame of being useless." the sully's all say thank you "my son Aonoung, Daughter Tsireya will show your children what to do." " Father why do-" I touch his chest as a way to tell him to stop talking "Aoun" I whisper shaking my head. "It is decided Tonowari said pointing his finger at Aoun." "Come i will show you our village" Reya said with a smile on her face excited to see new people. 

"OH A'YA" Neytiri says to me as soon as she notices me, she comes up to hug me. i hug her back something jake probably taught her. "Hey evi(kid), you've gotten so big." i look to him "says you Koaktan(old man)." he starts laughing but soon stopped as Reya led us to their family hut. i look over to see Neteyam looking at me. i decide to walk up to him because what's the worst that could happen. Aoun looks at me weird as i do so but if he has a problem with them then he has a problem with me. "Neteyam the mighty Warrior Has come to save me finally ive been waiting." "oh, eywa you remember that." he says looking to the side avoiding looking at me. he finally did but he also came to a stop and was looking at my neck. "what is there something on there?" i asked kind of freaked out. "No, no, it's just you still have the necklace on." he then looked into my eyes waiting for a reason why. "I never wanted to forget you, or loose it so it stayed on the whole time." i looked back into his eyes "A'ya, come." Aoun say's walking over to me putting his hand on my back to guide me. "Bye MyTayem." "Goodbye MyA'ya"
