They were anxious to meet and profess their LOVE for one another. But little did they know that fate was going to be condemned for them today.

She will be here soon, but I still can't wait to meet her. I am yearning for her eyes to encounter mine, her smile to complement mine. Time flies in a snap, there was a time when I was annoyed by her presence. But now it's as if without her everything is incomplete, my life is incomplete.
"I think I've fallen for her" a timid smile passed by my lips, "really hard." Immersed in my thoughts, someone picked that moment and walked into my room.
"Ahem... You seem to be thinking of something important; I suppose." This comment jerked me back to reality. My sight landed on a middle-aged lady, "Mom, when did you show up?" I asked, shrugging my shoulders. "Well... when you were preoccupied with thinking about something... or SOMEONE?" she claimed.
My eyes opened up like she was a ghost in my bedroom early in the morning. I turned to the other side and changed the subject and wished "Happy Holi Maa" with a dazzling smile on my face to distract her spirit.
She took me in her arms and said, "Happy Holi my child, and is she coming today?" she muttered near my ears with a sweet smirk, leaving me shocked. I took a moment to compose myself and asked, "Who? She?" trying to cover up the blush, forming on my face thinking of her. "Umm... the one who has captured my son's heart and he can't stop blushing!" I grinned. But, Mom was right, she got something special to capture my heart.
"Mom, you'll meet her soon, and you..."
"TRING...TRING...TRING"
My phone rang with her caller ID. With no delay, I replied: "Hey! Where are you? I've been waiting for you for such a long..." Before I could complete myself, an unfamiliar voice from the other side said to me:
"SIR, THE PHONE OWNER HAD AN ACCIDENT AND HAS BEEN ADMITTED TO THE CITY HOSPITAL. I SAW YOUR NUMBER ON THE EMERGENCY LIST. THAT IS WHY I CALLED YOU..."
Before he could finish it, my phone slipped out of my hand breaking into pieces, and my bliss faded out, leaving me numb.
Alarmed by my sudden reaction, Mom asked, "What happened? Is everything okay? "
"ACCI...DENT....S... H... SH... SHE MET WITH ACC... CRASH" I stumbled into numbness. "What!" she cried with grief. We hurried to the hospital referred to by the unknown and reached out to OP. I looked through the glass to find her lying unconscious and the physicians treating her. Seeing her in a lifeless state, I had a terrible twinge in my heart.
After an hour, the doctor stepped out of the OP. I ran towards him to inquire about her state: "Doctor, is she all right? Is she out of danger?" But his reply left me hopeless...
"We've treated her and she's out of trouble, but..." he faltered.
He continued, "During the accident, her head struck something strong that caused her to be unconscious. Because of that, there's major coagulation in her brain as a result of that, she might have a MEMORY LAPSE".
