Samantha woke up early the next day, feeling refreshed and ready to tackle the new week. She had a great time at the dance, and the events of the night kept playing back in her head. She couldn't shake off the feeling of Tyler's arms around her, and the way he looked at her when they danced. She wondered if he felt the same way she did.
As she got ready for school, Samantha received a text from Tyler asking if she wanted a ride. She hesitated, remembering what happened at the dance, and decided to decline, saying she already made plans with Maya.
Once she arrived at school, Samantha met up with Maya, who was waiting for her at their usual spot. As they walked towards their first-period class, Samantha couldn't help but notice the way Madison was glaring at her from across the hallway. She knew Madison was still upset about what happened at the dance, and she was starting to feel uncomfortable with the tension between them.
Throughout the day, Samantha caught Madison giving her dirty looks and whispering to her friends. She tried to ignore it, but it was starting to get to her. During lunch, Samantha noticed Tyler sitting with Madison and her friends, laughing and joking around. She couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy and wondered if Tyler was starting to lose interest in her.
As the day went on, Samantha found herself becoming more and more distant towards Tyler. She didn't want to get too attached if he was still interested in Madison. This didn't go unnoticed by Tyler, who was starting to get worried about their relationship.
On Tuesday, Tyler decided to confront Samantha and find out what was going on. During their break between classes, he approached her in the hallway.
"Hey, Samantha. Can we talk for a second?" he asked, looking concerned.
"Sure, what's up?" Samantha replied, trying to act nonchalant.
"I noticed you've been distant with me lately. Is everything okay?" Tyler asked, looking into her eyes.
Samantha hesitated, not wanting to cause any drama. "I just don't want to get too attached if you're still interested in Madison," she finally admitted.
Tyler's expression softened. "Samantha, I told you before. I only have eyes for you. Madison is just a friend," he said, taking her hand.
Samantha felt a wave of relief wash over her. She had been worried for nothing. "I'm sorry, I just got a little jealous," she said, smiling.
Tyler chuckled. "I understand. But you have nothing to worry about. You're the only one I want to be with," he said, leaning in to kiss her.
As they pulled away, Samantha felt a weight lifted off her shoulders. She realized that she had been letting her insecurities get the best of her and that she needed to trust Tyler more. From that moment on, she made a promise to herself to never doubt their relationship again.
As they walked into their class, Madison had been watching them from a distance and was mad.
"Ugh, why is he into her?!? What did I didn't do to him that she had??", she growled.
