I got home and immediately went up to my room to change. Since Uncle Vihaan and Viv (Aunt Vivian's nickname) were already asleep. As I was changing, I noticed my reflection in the mirror. I had never cared much for my looks, like obviously I cared if someone called me ugly, but i didn't mind going out with no makeup or something. But I noticed as I was taking off my dress that I had gained half a pound since I last checked, I don't check very often so this must have been something new. I put my hand beside my stomach and saw how much weight I had gained. About 3 inches of extra weight, that wasn't good, especially since I was going to be on Stranger Things, I needed to shed weight. 

I slipped into a light night dress and fell asleep as soon as my head touched the pillow, I was so tired. I don't even think I brushed my teeth, I just flossed. 

I woke up in a blur with my alarm ringing Oh right I'm meeting up with N and Karlie  I thought. I woke up and got into a black crop top and jeans. (cannot insert an image just imagine yourself in a crop top or whatever you want really).  I barely ate breakfast (had to lose weight remember?) I just had some water and like an apple. We had decided to meet up at my house, so I just had to wait for them. I hadn't seen them in like forever, so it was going to be fun meeting them again. 

In the meantime, I put on The Killers to jam out to in my room. I put on my favorite song 'All These Things that I've done'. I started jamming out to the Hot Fuss album for like the 100th time when I saw my phone ring, it was N's caller id. 

'Hey what's up?' I asked her turning down the music to hear her.

'Uh I'm sort of outside your house.'

'Oh shit I'm so sorry I'm just coming!' 

Unfortunately due to my jamming out, my friends had been outside for like 2-3 minutes and I had not heard the doorbell ring. It's not that long a waiting time and I know they do not care but nevertheless, I dashed down to open the door. 

'Hi oh my gosh I'm so sorry I was just-'

'Listening to the killers again?' asked Karlie with a smirk on her face. 

'Yes' I said unashamingly. 

'Knew it, anyways it's so good to see you again!' she said as they both came in and pulled me in for a hug. 

'I know!! It feels like forever since we last met and I want to know EVERYTHING!! So, I have ordered us pizza, and we are going up to my room and you are going to catch me up on all the drama, okay?' I said while N and Karlie took off their shoes. 

They both nodded.

'Wait, so, you,' I said gasping for breath 'you saw Jaiden Syler, and unlike a normal person instead of going up and saying hi, you just, you kissed him!!' I said cackling as N was in the corner rolling into a ball laughing and Karlie just rolled her eyes. 

'Listen, it had been a long night, I had had a couple of drinks.' said Karlie as she reached for her wine glass.

'A COUPLE?' roared N 'You finished like half a wine bottle that night.'

'Okay, well, my parents had bought it, and they told me to only have like a couple sips, but they weren't looking, so, I might have had a bit more' she said as she discreetly took a sip from her wine glass that did not have real wine in it and instead it had coke.

'I still cannot believe the drinking age here is 21+, like my parents literally give me white wine back home.' said N. 

'I cannot believe that you two drink.' I said as I took a bite of another pizza slice.

'Hey not me, only her' N said pointing to Karlie 'I only have it like once a month or on fancy events and if they have it.'

Suddenly I felt a weird feeling in me as I took that bite of pizza. It was like a voice in the back of my head waving an image of my fat stomach in front of me. I immediately swallowed and put down the pizza slice that I had been holding on to. 

'Anyway, enough about us, what about you?! Miss Stranger Things!!' said Karlie as her and N squaled excitedly. 

'Yea come on!! Tell us about her!!' said N. 

'Well, I cannot spill much, however, I will say this. She gets really close with one of the guys you have a crush on.'

'Wait, is it Finn? Does she kiss Mike? Do you-ARE YOU GOING TO BE KISSING FINN FREAKIN WOLFHARD??!!' yelled N into my ear. 

'Jesus Christ no!! He's like 20 and I'm like 15, that would be inappropriate and also not gonna happen. But, I will say, she does become really close with someone, but I won't mention who.' 

'Aw' said Karlie 'Well, it's okay N, you'll always have WattPad to imagine you and Finn kissing'

We then burst out laughing again. 

It was always nice talking to N and Karlie since they were the only people who I felt like I could be 100% myself with. They were just so, unapologetically themselves. Like they don't care, literally. Not to mention, they're gorgeous, smart, talented, and overall amazing. While I was here lowkey failing every subject except for y/f/s (your favorite subject) and gaining weight rapidly. Yea, if you can't tell then I might have a small comparing problem, just a small one. 

I heard my phone notification go off so I checked it to see a message from an unknown number.

Hey y/n it's me Finn!! I was wondering if you were free later this week? I kinda wanted to hang out later.

Author's note:

Okay I'm sorry this chapter is so short (and lowkey kinda crap lol) but I just really wanted to introduce N and Karlie since they are gonna play major parts in the later parts of the story. 
Also I feel like I didn't explain the whole drinking thing well enough so here's the thing:

In the UK, yes the legal drinking age in pubs and bars is like 18+. However, you can drink below that age at home with parental consent. N and Karlie are both around your age, so 15/16 (Karlie's older) so, they can drink at home with parental consent or in secret from their parents. 

Also, N's full name is Nadia, but I go to her as N since it's her nickname (and my irl bff was the inspiration for her character and I call her N - her name isn't Nadia tho).  

I feel like this story is just going to transform into my story bc irl i do actually go through weight issues and my fav band are the killers (literally listening to them while typing this lol). So, if you wanna change anything then feel free to, bc it is after all YOUR story.
