"Nicolette...I-uh" he stuttered
"Why did you kill her? There must be a reason. You don't just kill someone for no reason"
"Your right, you don't"
"So why'd you do it?"
"I came home drunk a few times...and your mother would yell at me and I would storm out of the house and go to a Friends...."
"What friend?"
"I cheated on your mother. a few times"
I was getting really angry now.
"She found out and with that and coming home drunk, she wanted a divorce. I had just gotten fired, she had all of the money. She said she wouldn't leave me anything, not even you. She wanted to kick me out of the house and I had no where to go, no family or friends"
"So you killed her?!"
"Wait there's something else"
"What?"
"She was pregnant. I thought she had cheated on me to get back at me and I thought that it wasn't my baby, but it was. I didn't find out that until I was in prison"
"So you killed my mother and my brother or sister?"
"Sister"
"I would've had a baby sister but you killed her"
He nodded. "I'm sorry"
"It's a little late for sorry, don't you think?"
I handed Cam the phone.
"Do you want to tell him?" He asked
"No, you can"
"Are you sure?"
I nodded. I stood by The wall so my dad couldn't see me but I could still hear both of them.
"Tell me what?" My dad asked
"Nicolette's pregnant" Cam said
"Really?"
"Yeah and they're mine" he was mad. he stood up and hung out the phone. I grabbed the phone.
"They're?" He asked
"Twins, I'm having twins" I said before I walked away.

"Cam wait up" He stopped and turned towards me. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah, it's just how could someone kill an innocent baby who hasn't even taken her first breath?"
"I don't know"
"Well that really bothers me" he calmed down. I held his hand, and we went back to my house.
When we got back, my aunt was gone.
"She left a note" Cam said
"What does it say?"
"She has a case, she will call you when she can"
"Okay".
We were sitting on the couch when there was a knock at the door. I opened it, it was Nash.
"Cameron!" I called. He came running over. When he saw Nash, he stepped in front of me.
"Aren't you on house arrest?" Cam asked
"Yeah I have an hour outside everyday though, I have to be back by 7"
"Well what do you want?"
"To talk to Nicolette. Alone"
"No"
"Um I don't think that's your decision"
"Nicolette, do you want to talk to Nash, alone?"
"No" I said
"Well there you have it" Cam started to shut the door but Nash stopped it with his foot.
"Please. Cameron can be here, I don't care"
"Fine, outside" I said. I wanted there to be broad daylight, and witnesses. We all stepped onto the porch, Cam shut the door.
"Okay what do you want" we took a few steps away from Cam.
"I have some good news" he said
"Your leaving?" I said excitedly
"I know you don't mean that" he touched my arm and Cam took a step forward.
"Okay, okay. So he's not your boyfriend, just your bodyguard" Nash laughed
"So what's the news?" I rolled my eyes
"I'm not leaving, ever. I'm moving back here"
My eyes got wide and my stomach dropped.
"Your what?" I choked out
"I'm moving here, so if you ever get tired of this kid" he pointed to Cam "you can come over to my house and I'll-"
"Beat it Nash" Cam shoved him off the porch and we went inside. I sat on the couch, tears fell down my cheeks. Cam sat next to me and I layed my head in his lap.
"It's okay. Nash won't act like this forever, he'll eventually give up on you"
"It's not me I'm worried about, Cam"
I looked up and he looked confused.
"It's them. The babies. I don't want them growing up around Nash, I don't want Nash to even know they exist" Cam rubbed my belly.
"All of our friends will be seniors next year, and we'll be in college. No one will know, especially Nash, I'll make sure of it"
I smiled at him and nodded.
"I found Mackenzie taking my mothers pills" he blurted out
I sat up. "what, when?"
"This morning when you were getting ready"
"Is she okay? How many did she take?"
"Yeah she's fine, she only took one before I got in there"
"Does your mom know?"
"Yeah, she's making Mackenzie go back to counseling and she has to keep taking her anti-depressants"
"that poor girl"
"my mom said if she tries it again, we'll have to put her in the hospital" he paused.
"We have pretty messed up life's, don't we?" He said
"You can say that again".
