Jimin yawned. It was 5 am, and he knew he had to get up for dance practice even though he didn't want to. "Shit," he said under his breath while he stretched. "I knew I shouldn't have stayed up so late." Just as jimin sat up, he heard a loud knock on his door followed by a familiar shout.
"Jimin! Wake your small ass up before I come in there and drag you out of bed myself!" Jimin sighed. It was Jin. He knew the only way to get his hyung to leave him alone was to open the door to show that he got out of bed, so that's what he got up to do.
"I'm up!" Jimin shouted as he opened his door. "Hi, Jimin Hyung." Jimin blinked as he saw who it was. "Jungkook? What are you doing here? Where's Jin Hyung?"
"I was walking by as he shouted at your door, and he told me to wait here for you and make sure that you get up," the younger boy said with a cute bunny smile. "Wow," Jimin couldn't believe that his hyung shouted at him and left. "You can tell him I got up."
"Okay... I also have a question."
"Go ahead," Jimin was curious to find out the question since Jungkook never comes to him with any questions. "Uh, I was wondering if.. uh.." Jungkook looked down shyly. "..you could help me with, uh, m-my dancing?" Jimins eyes went wide. He wasn't expecting something like that to come out of his mouth. "Yeah, of course, I could help you with that." Jungkook exhaled like he had been holding his breath the whole time.
"Now, I have a question for you," Jimin said before Jungkook could say anything. "Why are you asking me out of everyone? Hoseok is good at dancing, too." Jungkook felt his face heat up. He looked down quickly as he panicked. "Uhm.." he gulped. "I think you're the best dancer in the group... and you're a great teacher, and I like you better, I guess," Jimin smirked. "You like me better?"
"I mean, yeah? I guess? I don't know. we're going to be late, so you better get ready fast before you get your ass beat by Jin Hyung!" Jungkook ran away too fast for Jimin to respond. Jimin just smiled as he returned to his room to get ready.
~
"Jimin! You're late, even though I woke you up, as always.." Jin shook his head in disappointment. "I'm sorry, Hyung. I got distracted."
"By what?" Jin asked, folding his arms. "Uh," Jimin tried to think of something else to say instead of what distracted him. "My phone.." Jin sighed. "Whatever, you're here now, so go warm up." As Jimin watched Jin walk away, he spotted Jungkook practicing alone. He chuckled as he watched him get frustrated at himself for messing up some parts.
"Need some help?" Jimin asked the obvious from behind the younger. Jungkook turned around, startled. "Yeah, I do.." Even though Jungkook put his head down to try and hide his blushed face, Jimin could see it.
'I guess my height difference can be in my favor after all..' Jimin thought. "How long have you been watching me?" Jungkook asked as he raised his head, making eye contact. "Only a couple minutes... I came over because I saw that you were having troubles, plus you already asked for my help, so I figured this would be a good time to start." Jimin smiled. "Oh." Jungkook nodded.
"This is a good time... I've been having trouble with this part especially." Jungkook got in position and started to go over the part of the dance with which he had problems. At a particular move, Jungkook lost his balance, making him upset. "See, this is the part I'm talking about! How am I supposed to balance while doing a move like that?!" Jimin could tell that this had been a problem for a while and felt terrible.
"It's okay; I can show you how to balance so you don't fall. Just do what I do, alright?" Jimin said as he touched Jungkook's neck, massaging it lightly. Jimin's words and touch calmed down the frustrated Jungkook very well.
"So," Jimin started as he moved into position. "When you move your leg to the right, you have to shift some of your weight to that side so that it's equal on both sides, making it to where you won't lose balance and fall." Jungkook listened to everything he explained and followed every move he made. Finally, he did it. Jimin smiled when he noticed and turned to him.
"Jimin Hyung! Did you see that?! I did it!" Jungkook shouted while smiling. "I can't believe I did it! Thank you so much, Jiminie Hyung!" Jungkook hugged him tightly. The nickname made Jimin blush for some reason. He didn't know why, but it gave him a weird feeling in his stomach. "You're welcome, Kook." Jimin hugged him back just as tight.
"Stop being lovey-dovey, and come over here so we can all practice together!" It was that familiar voice again. "Jin hyung.." Jungkook whined. "Jiminie Hyung was helping me with the parts I always mess up on."
'There's that nickname again..' Jimin thought as he gulped. "Jimin can help you after we do our practices together a couple of times." Jin motioned them to join him and the other members. Jungkook smiled at Jimin as he walked to the other members. Jimin stood there for a second, trying to comprehend everything.
Jungkook usually isn't shy, so why is he shy now? And that feeling in his stomach, he'd never felt that before. The nickname Jungkook called him was cute, and it sounded so lovely coming out of his mouth.
Jimin didn't know what to think, so he decided not to. He walked to where the rest of the members were and didn't think about anything else but practicing for the rest of the night.
