"No, cause I don't want to talk to him." I said to Cece as I walked around my room. "I don't think you have a choice, you literally work for him." "Okay?" I shrugged. "He'll be good if he doesn't see me for two days."
I was currently on the phone with Cece discussing the whole situation. The incident happened two days ago. Ever since, I've been avoiding Dominique. I blocked him on Instagram, iMessage, and even on email. "I feel like you're doing the most, Tyra." Cece sighed. "Cece I'm deadass confused and scared. I literally told Jayda I don't see him that way, and I DIDN'T see him that way. At all. I don't understand why he would do that to me, knowing we work together." I sat on my bed, trying not to yell. "I told you," she sighed. "He wants you."
"Okay well he needs to unwant me. It's not going to work. I'm not falling for that shit." I sat up. "Okay, did you like the kiss? Let's start off there?" I hesitated. "Don't lie," Cece replied. "Yeah. I didn't like it, I loved it. And if I didn't get out of there it would've turned into more cause knowing me I cannot control myself when it comes to stuff like that." I let it all out.
Yeah I wasn't going to lie, I loved the kiss. And that's why I needed to stay away from that nigga, cause as soon as I'm in his presence it's not gonna be good for either of us. "He must not know you a freak." "He doesn't need to." "Matter fact, I think he already does—remember that club night?"
I slapped my forehead. "Please don't make me remember it."
"So what you gone do? You can't sit up here hiding forever. You need your money and he needs his assistant cause you and I both know you do that job well." I could hear her laughing on the phone. "Keep playing."
I haven't been to work in two days. Today was only Wednesday.
"And why do you care what Jayda thinks? You worried more about what Jayda got to say than Dominique himself." She did have a point. "I told her I don't see him that way, now it's gone make me look like a fake ass bitch."
"You don't owe her loyalty though.. and neither does Dominique if he said they not together." "I don't care about that, I just don't want to deal with that bitter shit."
"Tyra!" My mom yelled my name. "Hold on," I put Cece on hold. "Tyra!" she yelled again. "What, ma? I'm on the phone and busy." I opened my bedroom door. She didn't answer. It's funny cause as soon as I say "What" she don't answer. I appeared in the hallway. She was by the door. "Why you by the door?" I raised my eyebrows as I walked to where she was standing. "I didn't expect to meet Dominique like this..." the door opened wider.
Dominique was on the doorstep with a bouquet of flowers. "These for you ma." He handed one to my mother. I glared at him and then at her. Cause why would she answer the door? I didn't want to make a scene in front of my mom, so I let him be. He knew exactly what he was doing. How did he even remember where I stayed?
"Yeah mom, this is Dominique." I opened the door wider. "Come on in. How's your family?" She pulled his hand. Oh goodness, she was gonna treat him like he was her own son.
"They good ma. I just stopped by, I hadn't met Tyra's mama yet. I did meet Tamia though." He smiled and she gestured for him to have a seat. "You want anything to eat or drink baby?" She went in the kitchen. "Nah, nah." He stared at me while he answered her. "I actually stopped to talked to Tyra about something."
"Okay I'm gone leave y'all alone. Let me know if you need anything love. It was nice meeting you." She gave him a kiss on the cheek. I rolled my eyes. Of course. "Ma, now you pushing it." Acting like you know the man. "Tyra please!" She shooed me off before walking into her bedroom. The door closed shut.
