"She just being dramatic right now, so I'll let her do her thing." I told Jonathan. After Cece left, I decided to meet up with Jonathan at Chipotle to talk and hang. Of course, I wasn't going to invite him to my place yet. I didn't want to move too fast.

"She'll come around. How was your day?" He responded. He had a black Nike tech on with some tech pants and his slippers. Damn, he was fine. "It was good, how about you?" I looked into his eyes and he chuckled. "Damn, you tryna seduce me or sum?" He sat back.

"Unt un, I make you shy or somethin?" I knew exactly what I was doing. I actually was in the teasing mood. "Nah, you making me something else." He whispered in my ear and I couldn't help but laugh. "Stop playing with me." I playfully pushed him and bit into my food.

"But my day was okay I guess." "It got better when you seen me?" He smirked. "Yeah." I nodded. One of the reasons I gave Jonathan a chance was because he was thoughtful and seemed cool to be around. I didn't mind hanging around him all day.

In a way, he reminded me of Baby.

We are and talked for a bit and after we decided to go over to his place. I wasn't thinking anything of it at first, but then Jonathan started to give me small hints.

"So what you tryna do?" He sat on his couch. I was on sitting on one of the island counter seats. "Hmm, I don't know. You wanna listen to music?" I shrugged. I wasn't in the mood to have intercourse with him. Not yet. I just wasn't willing to give myself away to someone, especially not after Dominique.

Jonathan chuckled as he grabbed his Roku. I felt bad. But if I wasn't comfortable, I wasn't. Couldn't anybody force me to do different.

For the rest of the night, we chilled, had some deep talks, and afterwards I went home.

the next day

"How did it go?" Cece smirked as she sipped on her Chick-Fil-A milkshake. We decided to meet up at the mall in the afternoon. I didn't mind because I was quite hungry. It was around 1 PM. I rolled my eyes. She knew what she was doing.

"Fine, I guess." "You gave him that cootie cat?" I mugged her down. "Hell no. I'm not interested in giving anything to him at the moment."

"Mhm," Cece mumbled under her breath. "What?" I raised my eyebrow. "I wonder why." She shrugged. "Girl don't start. I just want to see if I like him enough." I shooed her off. I knew exactly what she was going to say and I wasn't going for it.

"How was your date night?" I changed the subject. Cece sat up. "It was actually good asf, I'm glad you asked. You know what he did? He literally took me to a hotel room and surprised me with flowers and the petals were all on the floor. Then he popped the question!" She showed me the videos on her phone. On the hotel bed, in petals the words read out "Will You Be My Girlfriend?"

"Awwwwe, that's so cute. I'm genuinely happy for you. Ced is a good guy, I know you two will hit it off." I cooed as I continued to look at the romantic videos. Oh, to have a relationship like this.

"Yes he's been really sweet and caring. I just hope he stays like this. Cause you know how people say they're always good in the beginning?" She continued to sip on her drink. I nodded. "I don't think he'll change."

"Speaking of Ced and I, I don't know if you wanted to come bowling and go-karting with us tomorrow night." "Who's gone be there?" She didn't answer. "Whatever, I'll come." I ignored her.

"Y'all having fun, like forreal. I love that for y'all." I complimented her. Ever since Cece and Ced were together, they enjoyed themselves and my girl Cece definitely was always smiling. I did notice that she was gaining weight, but I didn't say anything. That was that happy weight.
