Hey everyone!

I somehow managed to get this chapter written and edited this afternoon. I didn't think I had the energy, but I really didn't want to miss out on my weekly update especially after the amazing episode we had on Wednesday. What did you think of that?

I hope you like this chapter, let me know what you think.

Happy reading!

Nat xx

'Trouble in paradise already?' Fangs said as soon as Toni walked back into the apartment. 'What was it this time? She couldn't handle not having all of your attention now our son is back in the picture?'

'Fangs, can we not?' She shut the door behind her. Anthony barely awake in her arms. 'I'm going to put the baby to bed.'

'Whatever.'

Toni rolled her eyes as she walked into Anthony's room, she set him down on the bed before she picked out something that would fit him. His crib had reluctantly been taken down, she could build it tomorrow, luckily there was a travel cot they'd bought in the closet. Keeping herself busy didn't stop her from thinking about Cheryl as she pulled it out and set it up. She couldn't help but think about how she was probably doubting everything that happened between them.

She wanted to text her, just to let her know she was thinking about her, but she didn't. They all needed a little space to adapt and even though she didn't want to admit it Fangs was right she did have a baby and although Cheryl seemed to have had a hand in raising teenage Anthony in the future it doesn't mean she can't change her mind. She took a breath not wanting to allow the doubt to overtake her thoughts so she changed the baby laying him down when she remembered that she needed something to change into too.

Begrudgingly she left the safety of her sons bedroom, walking into the one she shared with her husband who was currently following her inside. He leaned against the door as she pulled out an oversize tshirt and a pair of shorts.

'So are you gonna acknowledge me or-'

'Or what Fangs? Do you think I wanted everything to be this hard? Do you think I wanted to hurt you?' Toni stopped herself from asking him if he thought she wanted to hurt Cheryl.

'You tell me. You don't seem to care. You up and left to live with your ex. How would you feel if I did that?'

Toni let out a breath, 'I didn't mean for this to happen.'

'Why did you marry me Toni? Like, did you even care for me at all?'

'I do care about you Fangs. You're one of my best friends and I really thought I could make this work. I wanted it to work. For us and for Anthony.'

'Then why can't we try? You don't have to make any rash decisions.'

Toni looked down at her feet ignoring the tears that threatened to fall from her eyes. Why did all of this have to be so hard? 'Because I don't want to lie to you. I don't want to drag you through this. I do love you Fangs, but with Cheryl it's just... different. I'm sorry I know you don't want to hear that.' She saw him flinch, but he didn't react with anger in fact his face remained pretty neutral. 'Fangs you have to believe me, I didn't want to hurt you. I just think we rushed into everything so quickly. We tried to create this perfect family. Something neither of us grew up with and I think our love for Anthony seeped into something we'd never even thought about before. I-I never looked at you romantically before we had him and I assume you didn't me either.'

Fangs let out a breath as he shrugged his shoulder, 'I don't remember T. I've just been so caught up with everything going on. You and Anthony have been my only constant. I really wanted this for us.'
