The pair of dull dark blue eyes fluttered as the sunlight hit her eyes. That night, was it all a dream? Surely, it felt real for her. She would've to find out about it later on. One thing to be sure, she never thought to be spared by the six eyed demon. Meeting with the seemingly emotionless demon without being killed by him? That's almost impossible unless you're not just a lowly human.

Although, she couldn't help but doubt it. Since her mind kept playing tricks on her and other things. It was perhaps the most annoying thing when she realized that she was just holding the air in her hands.

It is as if her mind was overwhelmed that she can't seem to keep her sanity, making her see many things at a time, whether just a dream or a hallucination.

It's as if she's going crazy little by little.

That's pretty much not a problem for her, at the very least. Right now, Aya just have to focus on doing more practice so that she can at least protect herself better rather than clinging onto fate and hopes.

Aya rolled to her side, her wooden katana coming into her view as it laid flat beside her futon. She sighed and hugged the blanket, taking a deep inhale of the soft smell of the newly washed layers.

She stared out with slight disbelief, thinking that she would never survive in this world. Despite that, she wanted to take the risk and actually enjoy her life here. She blinked, her vision switching between darkness and the soft hue from the lights that came from the window. So dull, just like how she always felt.

As she was deep in her head, the warm smell of a cooked meal outside of her door tickled her nose.

Already feeling hungry just by the smell, she sat up and stretched. She got out of the futon, folding it and putting it in the closet. She changed into a new set of clothes — a black turtleneck underneath a plain blue kimono and dark blue hakama pants. On top of that, she matched it with a white haori that has blue wind-like swirls and golden leaves pattern. Oversized, obviously. (like the picture above, originally from me)

Aya walked out of her room, a grateful smile stretched on her lips as she walked over to the cooking old man. She greeted him, sitting on the pillow(?) cushion near the fire.

"Good morning, old man."

Urokodaki replied with a soft sigh, a gentle good morning escaped his lips. He put the soup in a bowl, handing it over to Aya as she helped him setting up the 'table' for breakfast.

After the breakfast, Aya decided to go outside for a little practice while wondering whether the First Upper Moon actually had a night near the house. He probably did.

She started by doing warm ups and meditation to keep herself focus, as the day went on like always.

She was slightly bothered that Urokodaki didn't question her about anything strange, and didn't bother to ask why she was out last night. Other than that, the old man had always been suspicious of her.

It had been almost a year after Urokodaki found her at the foot of the mountain, but never got any information about her. She remained a mystery for him to unravel... It felt like she shouldn't have existed.

Back to the girl, Aya was sitting on the ground, practicing her Total Concentration Breathing. Her mind was empty, clear of any thoughts as she focused on listening to the sound of nature around her. She was not sure how Tanjiro even able to focus, it took her a lot of time to gather her ability.

She also practiced with the Water Breathing, though it didn't suit her. She always have a hard time focusing the attacks, so she tried to bond with nature to find the right breathing style.

She planned on travelling, perhaps even gain the status of a Demon Slayer without even being one. She's quite confident of her ability after all.

It didn't took a long time for the sky to turn into a dark hue, the moon appearing as the stars accompanied it. Aya was ready with her stuffs, a sling bag made of bamboo filled with some extra clothes for her to change into. She waited for the night to be a bit older, sitting in front of the fire with a bored look.

Urokodaki was not home yet, from whatever he had been doing the whole day. But, he might know what she had been planning on to do, since he always know what's inside her heart.

After waiting for a few moments, Aya heaved out a sigh. She didn't want to keep waiting and decided that she should be fast if she wanted to catch up with the timeline. She couldn't help but feel slightly anxious, having no idea how the outside world was like. She usually hang around the mountain, though with curiousity eating her gut. Perhaps, she could do some literal understanding of how this world works, as she only know that it is still the Taisho era.

With a heavy heart, she put a folded paper on the ground, making sure to put it where it'd be seen. She went out of the house, walking to the spot where Tanjiro split a boulder into half. She stared at the big rock, her mind wandered back to the episode where Sabito and Makomo first appeared.

She hated the episode, she always hated farewells. She clasped her hands in the praying motion, closing her eyes as she prayed for the kids that died because of the demon.

"Rest well. Please, take care of Urokodaki for me..." With her last whisper, she took off from the place she could call her home, once again leaving the old man alone with nothing but himself.

I'm very sorry for the sudden disappearance of Kokushibo, but this is for the sake of the plot. They will meet again. In fact, they'd stick together for quite a while.
