Meeting: Shinichiro, Wakasa, Takeomi, (Mikey, Emma)

2004 December 14

Shinichiro PoV:

I had was on my way home from running a couple of errands for my grandfather who had fallen ill due to the cold weather. I passed an alley where I heard shouting from. I turned into the direction of the noise and noticed a girl running my way with men running behind her. The men yelled "Grab her and we will give you 10'000 Dollars." I looked at the girl who was now standing before me she looked scared. But why did she stop? She could just run around me. Or does she want my help. "Thank you boy now you are coming with us." The men spoke as he grabbed her arm he shoved a check into my hand which had 10'000 Dollars written on it and was about to walk away when I grabbed her other wrist and pulled her back to me hiding her behind my back. I held the check up and ripped it apart. "No amount of money will get me to hand a little girl like her over to the likes of you." The men looked at each other before pulling their guns out and pointing them at me. 'shit' I thought. I immediately grabbed the girl's hand and started running. The men of course following me. But after a while I felt my self-starting to slow down as the girl ran in front of me. After a while I felt my legs give out and I fell to the floor I was panting for air, coughing, my heart beating in my ears as I couldn't seem to catch a breath. The Girl was kneeling beside trying to get me to get up and continue running. She looked up and ii saw her face dawn with horror the men were starting to catch up. So, despite me still not being able to catch my breath I tried to get up. Legs shaking, I felt my legs giving out again, but I didn't hit the floor. Instead, the girl took me onto her back. "No.... pant.... Put me.... pant.... Down. They will.... pant... catch.... Pant.... Us." I spoke while trying to get of her back. But surprisingly she was very strong. After she had secured me on her back she ran off. And even more to my surprise she didn't seem to have any problem running with me on her back. She then jumped and we were on top of a building. 'Wtf how did she jump this high?' After running for about good ten minutes on the roofs she jumped down landing on the floor smoothly. After that she put me down. I was still in shock. ".... k you..." I heard her say something, but I didn't understand it. "Sorry could you repeat that please I didn't hear you." I asked politely. "Thank you" She spoke again still very quiet, but I still understood her. "You're welcome. Even though I didn't do much." I said while scratching my neck awkwardly. "Hey if I may ask what's your name?" I asked her. She thought for a moment before she answered "Y/n l/n" "I am Shinichiro Sano nice to meet you Y/n" I held out my hand to her waiting for her to shake it but she just looked at me confused. I retracted my hand. After an awkward moment I noticed her shivering, and only then did I see what she was wearing it looked like a hospital gown. Looked her in the eyes and asked, "Did you run away from a hospital?" She shook her head no. "Then why are you wearing a hospital gown?" I continued to dig. "Lab" Was all Y/n replied with. 'so she ran away from a lab. Huh' But then it hit me. "A LAB. Did they run experiments on you?" I questioned. Tears started to pool in her eyes, and she broke down, I immediately hugged her close to me and comforted her. "Shh it's okay you are save now. Do you have anyone to stay with?" I asked her. She shook her head now while still burying it in my neck. "Want to stay with me?" her sobs started to slowly fade as she spoke. "I don't want to burden you. I will find something. But thank you." She broke out of the hug and started walking away I wanted to stop her but at the same time I didn't want to force her into something she didn't want. As I was deep in thought I suddenly felt a tap on my shoulder. "AHHHHH" I screamed. "Dude, you scream like a girl." A white-haired man spoke. Wakasa one of my friends, probably my best friend but don't tell Takeomi. After I calmed down, I spoke "Bullshit I do not sound like a girl." I protested. "Whatever what are you doing out here you live no where near." I froze 'how the hell do I explain to him that I just saved a girl from a bunch of men while she caried me on her back.' "I was..... umm...." While I was trying to find an excuse, a black kitten jumped in front of us, and I spoke "I was chasing that cat." Wakasa didn't seem to buy it. "A cat?" He asked. "Yup I wanted to pet it and it ran away." I continued to 'explain'. "It most likely ran away because of your ridiculous hair. Probably thought you were a rooster or some shit." Wakasa spoke nonchalantly. "Whatever I need to get home and bring these medicines to my grandfather." I spoke holding my bag and was about to walk away. "Wait I wanted to come and visit you anyway." Wakasa spoke from behind me. "Tsk. People who insult my hair are not welcome in my home." I spoke in a matter-of-fact voice. "Thank God it is not your house. Or Manjiro would have to sleep on the street." Wakasa spoke again. I glared at him. But after a few seconds I continued on focusing on the road when I saw an all to familiar girl lying on the ground unconscious. I ran towards her yelling "Y/n are you okay? What happened." I turned her around and she was panting for air. And despite the weather being icy cold she was sweating. "Shit she caught a fever. A high one at that." "Who is that? Do you know her, Shinichiro?" Wakasa asked me from behind me. "Not really just met her a about half an hour ago." I picked her up and carried her bridal style while pressing her body against my own hoping to give her some warmth. "Are you going to bring her to a hospital?" Wakasa asked. "No to risky." I replied, "the hell you mean risky what is so risky about bringing her to the Hospital." Wakasa questioned. "I will explain once I get her home and treated." I replied rather angry. "Okay..." Wakasa spoke laying of with his questions. While walking we ran into Takeomi. "Hey guys.... What are you doing you look like you are kidnapping someone." He joked. "Not in the mood Takeomi." I spoke angrily. Takeomi and Wakasa shared a glance before shrugging and following me again.

Arrived home I laid the medicines on the counter before bringing Y/n up to my bedroom. I was about to change her into something warm when I realized I needed to take of her clothes. Shit. I rethought my options. But no I had to do it.

Two mins later. I didn't do it stood outside Emma's room and asked her If she would change her clothes. Emma agreed and walked to my room. Thank God, she didn't ask me why there was a girl here. After a short while she came back out of my room and spoke to me "You have so missed out by not changing her yourself she is hot." With that she walked away. Was she trying to get me this flustered. I shook of the thoughts and went into my room. I saw her she looked so peaceful but at the same time as she was in a lot of pain. She was also sweating a lot. I went back outside my room and went into the kitchen got a wet cloth and a bucket of water. My friends approached me there. "So, mind telling us why you didn't bring her to the Hospital?" I looked at them in a serious demeanor before telling them "Follow me I will tell you in my room." Again, they looked at each other before following me. Back in my room I closed my door and sat on my bed and wiped the sweat of her forehead. "Okay we are in your room now tell us." Takeomi pushed. "And I f it's not a good reason I am calling the police and tell them that you kidnaped a girl." Wakasa threatened. I then started telling them everything that happened while still whipping the sweat of her face. After I was done they had the same reaction as me after I found out. "We have to inform the police." Takeomi spoke. "I would ask her first what she wants to do" I suggested. "I honestly agree with Shinichiro." Wakasa spoke up. While the room was serious Mikey burst through the door and yelled "EMMA TOLD ME YOU HAVE A GIRL HERE. IS IT BY FREE WILL OR DID YOU FORCE HER? IF YES I WILL BEAT YOUR ASS RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW." He asked. "Mikey shh she is sleeping can't you see." I spoke pointing at Y/n. "Woah she definitely got forced here she is way out of your league big bro." Mikey spoke with a light blush covering his cheeks. "Get out" I sternly ordered. Mikey surprisingly obliged and left us alone.
