Don't you miss when I looked at you as if the world was turning?
The feeling of an empty heart, for which I still keep yearning.
Without sight, without sound, I keep my
inner warmth knowing you are still around.
Don't you miss the sound of my voice?
Or the way I fell into your arms without question or choice?
Most of all, do you miss your best friend who knows you like no other,
staying with you until the very end?
Instead you sit alone in your bed,
chasing away the thoughts of bittersweet
memories dancing around your head.
Gone forever, but still a chapter left unread.
Don't you wish you would have loved me instead?
