Sorry this chapter is so short compared to the last one. I had no ideas and had to make it short. Feel free to suggest ideas! Cuz I'm running out sorry...

I wake up to the sound of rustling. I get up, on my hands and feet, looking around with alert. I turn to where I hear more rustling, and see a squirrel. "Oh... It's just a squirrel!" I sigh in relief. I feel a drop hit my head and feel as if I had animal ears as one twitches from the feel of a drop hitting me. I reach out my paw, and feel more. I look up to see that it's raining. "Great..." I say to myself.

I grab my stuff and move it to be more under the bridge. I also grab the sticks and rocks that I had previously used to make my fire, before they get to wet to start a fire again. "I hope this rain doesn't last too long..." I think to myself. I look to the water, and notice that the water drops hitting the water is making all the fish scatter away. "I'm glad I have some Granola bars left then... I AM running low on water mind you... Maybe I can filter some ravine water to drink." I say, as I look through my backpack.

"You know... I haven't drank any water since sometime yesterday morning..." I thought to myself. "I should at least take a small sip" I open up the lid of my water bottle, and take a sip before putting it back in my bag. I grab out my laptop to make day three of my journal entry. "Day three. I am running low on water and it is raining. I could either collect some rain water, or try to filter the ravine water to drink. I'm staying under the bridge until it stops raining. Hopefully some time soon? I'm pretty sure I had another Phantom Shift. Been a little while since I had one. Huh... Anyways I'll probably update when the rain stops and I've done more stuff today. See ya for now."

I check the battery on my laptop, which was 79 percent left. I turn off my laptop and put it back in my bag. As I look up, it is still raining, so I decide to lay down. "I hope it stops raining soon. I wanna do more exploring today!" I say as I close my eyes. I planned on just resting my eyes and chilling, but soon enough I started to fall asleep. I started to wake up to the sound of some near by birds chirping. It was kind of nice hearing them chirp as they flew around. I can tell I'm getting hungry by the way my tummy rumbles extra loud. I look around. It had stopped raining, but now everything was just wet. "It should dry up within the next few hours or so, right?" I think to myself as I munch on a high fiber Granola bar.

I finish my Granola bar and put the wrapper back in my bag. I then go to try and catch some more fish. I grab my stick from before, and start to jab at the fish. Eventually I manage to catch four, which is one more than I managed to catch last time. I grab the bag with the rabbit from before out of my backpack and empty it out. I put the fish in and set it back in my bag. "Yeah... I don't know about the rabbit... I think I'll just stick to the fish..." I say as I start to wonder off. "I went this way last time, but I think I'll go this way again, just because I'm following the water here, and I don't want to get lost... This way I can at least follow the water back. And since it IS earlier in the day, I can go further this time!" I think as I wander beside the water, making sure to stick near.

As I kept going, I pause as I hear something. I hear the sound of a wolf howling. I join in, cuff my hands to my mouth, and do a little howl before stopping, not wanting to attract the wolf towards me. "Yeah... I'm not about to run away from a potentially dangerous wolf today..." I say aloud. I keep going until I see what looks to be a coyote, just chilling near a small hill. I decide to go towards them a little bit before they turn around. It notices me, and I get a bit worried. "Hey! I-I'm not here to hurt you! I'm-I'm just like you even, see!" I say aloud as I howl. The coyote just looks at me before wandering away in the other direction. I carry on my way to where I was originally heading.

"Ooh! I should write that down in my journal later that I ran into a peaceful coyote!" I think as I continue on. I eventually reach the edge of a cliff, where I hear the water, falling down the edge like a waterfall. I stop there to take a break. "Well... I guess I can't follow the water anymore huh..." I say. "Well, I COULD... Heh, Wee!" I joke as I look down. I notice a wolf or coyote down their with some other trees as the forest continues. It was fairly far down, so I couldn't quite make the animal out. I begin to wonder if it's the same coyote from before as I just sit and chill. "Nah... It couldn't be! Because how would it of gotten down there so fast?" I think to myself.

I look to my left, where the water was, and notice a fallen tree that leads across. "Well, I don't want to get lost, so I'll just cross over to see what's there, while making sure I stay close to where I was." I say as I walk carefully across the tree. "Okay! I made it safely!" I say as I look around. I spot an old tree trunk sticking out of the ground. I wander over to it and sit on it, just taking in the beauty of the nature. "Man... This. This is just. This just feels like home." I say, my breath taken away by the beauty of the ravine.

Eventually, after resting, I cross the water again, and start to head back. Back at my base, I write about the friendly coyote I encountered and how I followed the water to the edge of a cliff. "It was still fairly early in the day, so I decided to follow the water a bit further today. On the way there, I howled with a wolf, and encountered a friendly seeming coyote, who just eventually wandered off peacefully. I eventually found that the water led me to a cliff, where the water fell off of like a waterfall, and a log that led over the water. I sat on an old stump I found across the water after crossing it with the tree for a while, just enjoying the scenery before heading back. It's getting a BIT late now, so I'll probably just cook and eat my fish, then chillax the rest of the day. Then day three will be done and four more days will be left! Jake out for the day."

I grab my fish, and make a fire to cook it with, out of the sticks and rocks I had saved from earlier. After eating, I just chilled out, before calling it for the day, and curling up to sleep. As i lay down, I go to tuck my tail in for protection. I feel a tail move and experience another Phantom Shift. "Getting more frequent huh? twice in one day." I think as I yawn and drift off.

Once again sorry for short chapter. I'll try to post chapter 3 soon, but no guarantees as I AM running out of ideas, so, sorry.
