I never thought that they would actually make a thth for my age, but here I am looking at the flyer in the hallway.

I heard some rumours about the new show this weekend, but I couldn't believe it.

It's a Monday afternoon. I just finished my homework in the school library, cliché I know, but the school library is so pretty and I prefer being here over being at home.

Walking towards my locker (taking a hallway I usually try to avoid) I see the flyer. As if it's a good thing, like a student sign up for extra credit.

Someone bumped into me and I lost my balance taking a few steps forward. I turned around just to see Anna, well everyone calls him Simon but.- I didn't notice that I was staring at him until he broke the silence. He looked at his feet, almost shy? 'O uhm, I'm sorry, I was just- I didn't expect anyone here this late.' Putting on my brightest smile I looked up at him. 'It's okey, I was just looking at the flyer.' I looked back at the poster. 'When did they put it up on the board?' talking so quiet I didn't expect him to hear me. 'This morning, everyone has been talking about it nonstop.' He leaned back on the wall behind him. 'Are you gonna sign up?' I looked at him confused, was he talking to me? He apparently noticed my confusion since his mouth turned into a small smile, which only scrambled up my thought more and more. I pulled myself together and cleared my throat. 'I won't. Did you think I would?' That came out less confident than I wanted it to. 'Just asking, you should tho.' I'm this time, fully turned around, but before I could ask him why, he was long gone, I watched him walk away as I stood there still confused about what had just happened. Before stepping through the doors he looked back at me. I died from embarrassment realising I had been staring, as I quickly made my way back down the other side of the hallway.

Finally home I went straight to my room, thinking that I could just lie down for a moment. I plop onto my bed when I see my alarm clock. Almost six pm. Shit, I gotta get ready for work. Tired and frustrated I put on my black denim jeans and work t-shirt. I'm working at our local restaurant. My mom's best friend is the owner, which means that I don't have to work very long shifts. Six months ago she asked me if I could pitch in on school days as well (as a 'whatever she needs') I obviously said yes, but right now I wish I would've said no. Grabbing my purse, not forgetting my phone, keys and extra hair tie I keep repeating to myself: 'You only have to work 'til ten, three hours, you got this.'  (I don't ''Got this'')

Half past six, way on time. Even though I've worked here for several month I still feel out of place.

'Hey Jay, there you are, just on time.' O oh. 'Hey Maurice.' She continues walking towards me, holding an apron. Not a kitchen apron though?... 'I uhm, someone called in sick so I was hoping to keep you out of the kitchen today. Is that okey dear?' I've had many jobs, just not as a waitress. She looked at me with a certain curiosity. 'I believe in you, you got this, it's just for this shift, your salary stays the same, maybe you'll even get extra tips. And having experience as a waitress can come in handy.' I only just realized that she was still trying to convince me since I didn't answer her question. 'O yeah sure, how does the table thing work?'
