Jozie laid her forehead on the cool table. The coffee shop was a quieter than the sorority house. Peaceful jazz echoed around the pleasant coffee shop. The smell of coffee flooded Jozie's nostrils with every breath.

"You look miserable. Do you seriously not remember anything? You were craaazy! You even lost your phone!!"

Jozie rolled her eyes and lifted her head. In front of her sat Abbie with her blonde hair pulled up into a ponytail. She sipped on an iced coffee. Obviously the party from last night did not effect her same way as it did Jozie.

"You're a freak. Are you still drunk or something?" Jozie said accusing her perkiness.

"I mean it wouldn't be the first time something like that happened, but no, not this time." Abbie gleamed back, "Unlike youuuu...I didn't drink like my life depended on it last night."

"...Can you fill in the blanks for me..?" Jozie asked, ignoring the small jab she made at her drinking choices.

"Yeah, yeah." Abbie agreed.

-Last Night-

"Wooooooooo!!" Jozie screamed as she got out of the Uber. She tugged at her tight black dress as she stepped out onto the sidewalk. She looked up to the abandoned warehouse that had become a popular party spot near campus. Not only parties but...

races too.

"Second party of the night! We are on a rooooll!!! Woooooo!!" Abbie came tumbling out of the Uber and stumbled up beside her with her

"Ok, ok. GAME PLAN! We drink and theeeeen drink some more and THEN-" Abbie was cut off by Jozie shoving her towards the side door of the warehouse.

It was a chilly night but the girls senses were too diluted in alcohol to mind the cool wind that rushed through the trees. The sound of the music rang out from the warehouse in all directions. They entered through the worn down door and into a sea of young adults dancing and drinking.

"Ok~ remember, let's try to stay together-" Abbie turned to see Jozie already accepting a drink from someone. She took his hand and led her off to the dance floor.

-Present-

"And that was the last I saw of you for the night," Abbie sighed, "Abandoned by my girlie."

"Oh get over yourself. You probably had some stranger's tongue down your throat second later." Jozie sneered.

Abbie blushed and looked away for a moment, but then turned back to her ready to retaliate.

"At least I can remember who I slept with," Abbie smirked, "I slept with Jean Kirstein last night after the party."

Jozie rolled her eyes, flipped her off, and then sat her head back down on the table.

"Are you not even going to ask me how it was?!" Abbie exclaimed. She received no response from the hungover slump in front of her.

"Fine be that way. I'm going to class." She stood up and put on her jacket over her red tank top that matched with her leggings. She waved bye to the barista as she walked out of the coffee shop.

"Awww, what's wrong, cutie."

"I thought you left-," Jozie cut herself off when she looked up and saw the cute barista girl with a pot of coffee in her hand.

The girl had her blonde hair cut into a shaggy bob. She wore a brown tank top with a navy jacket over the top of it. She had on cute cargo shorts to go with the rest of her outfit.

Jozie was blown away by her striking blue eyes and rosy cheeks. She didn't even notice the girl refilling her mug.

"I- I- I'm fine!" Jozie stammered. She went to reach for her mug of coffee, but didn't realize that girl had refilled her cup. Jozie quickly took her hand away from the hot mug. She brought her burning fingers to her lips to blow on them, but another hand grabbed her wrist.

"Oh no! Are you alright?" The girl gently brought Jozie's fingers to her lips. Jozie felt the gentle breeze the girl created with her breath upon the pads of her fingers.

Jozie could only focus at her beauty and her breath.

"Wait one moment, I'll go get you a bandaid." The girl walked off with the pot of coffee in her hand. She set it down and went to the back of the shop.

"What the hell is wrong with you, Jozie..." She whispered to herself. Jozie turned her head to look out the window. She closed her eyes to try and focus herself. She heard the gentle bell of the front door open and close. She heard brewing coffee and muttering customers. She then heard a voice that brought back a flood of memories.

"Hey, cutie, you forgot your phone."
