"Oh I know, I know! We'll call it: OPERATION SAVE DAZAI-SAN!" Atsushi screamed eagerly and Akutagawa shushed him.

"This is such a dumb name for an operation, but why do I expect something smart from a stupid jinko like you?"

Atsushi furrowed his eyebrows, visibly offended

"What is that supposed to mean?", he inquired. The emo ignored him without batting an eye.

Currently, Akutagawa Ryunosuke and his rival - with whom he was fighting for his mentor's approval, Nakajima Atsushi - were standing side by side in front of the entrance of Bar Lupin.

Three hours had passed since their not-date and they were here with an objective - to find Dazai-san!

They had to save Dazai Osamu from death's cold grasp.

Or...that's what the younger thought they were supposed to do, after a brief phone call with the Armed Detective Agency's most hardworking detective - Doppo Kunikida.

If it weren't for them, this mission most likely wouldn't have taken place. When they tried to call their beloved Dazai-san to end their debate - which was about whether he hated dogs - they didn't receive an answer.

It wasn't the first time the man disappeared. The people from his inner circle - if we can call them that - were quite used to it.

No, the reason they desperately wanted to find the detective, was Kunikida's panicked rambling when he discovered the tracking chip he had sneaked on the brunet was not working.

He might not give out the impression, but he, alongside the detective agency, were concerned about the ex-mafioso's mental health as of late.

His smiles seemed a little faker, his eyes more dreamy and the bags under his eyes darker.

They weren't blind to his suicidal tendencies, whenever he was attempting to meet death on the bottom of a river or a barrel even, the chip was always processing, sending the agency information about his vitals.

So, to be concerned about the chip not working was natural. Thus shin soukoku were assigned on a mission in the beginning of the long night, by the second-in-command president.

Lupin was the last place Dazai had been seen by onlookers, that's why they were standing there - an emo and a furry bickering about triffles.

After a beat of silence Atsushi endeavoured in taking action.

"We enter on 3." he said and started counting.

"One."

"Two-"

Rashoumon activated and pierced the wooden door, slicing it in pieces.

"Akutagawa, wha-"

"A jinko like you, isn't going to boss me around." he grumbled and held out the remaining of the door, so the smaller could enter.

"You surely are bipolar..." The furry murmured under his breath, reluctantly entering the dark room.

"Did you say something?" Akutagawa interjected, already riled up. He tried to flip the light switch, only to find it wasn't working.

Somebody had shot it with great precission, given the shot didn't start a fire. Which made him wonder...who could that be?

The detective turned his flashlight on and the whole place lit up in silver hues. He approached the objects he discovered lying on the floor near one of the tables on the other end of the room.
