The weather was extra cool, and the hill seemed to be lush and green like never before. The air was crisp and the sun shone brightly, making the day even more perfect. The grass was vibrantly green, and the flowers and trees seemed to glimmer in the sun. It was a stark contrast to the dark and gloomy weather that had persisted for the entire month. Everything looked so vibrant and alive. If one walked up the hill, one could feel a sense of awe and wonder that one would have never experienced before. As if something special was awaiting or going to happen.
Mahjabeen wanted to taste the ice cream for so long, so she peddled her bicycle faster. The wind was blowing softly, making the leaves around her rustle in the gentle breeze. The sky was a clear blue, with not a single cloud in sight.
Birds were chirping and soaring in the sky above her. The sun was shining brightly, and the warm rays of light lit up the entire area. Everywhere she looked, she could see lush green hills, rolling fields of grass, and bright colourful flowers in bloom.
She finally reached the ice cream shop, and her eyes sparkled as she looked at the different flavours in the showcase.
The ice cream shop was a quaint little building with a bright pink and white awning. The windows were adorned with cheerful polka-dotted curtains and the walls were painted pastel blue.
The shop was bustling with activity, with people of all ages enjoying various ice cream flavours.
At the back of the shop, the ice cream machine hummed as it churned out delicious frozen treats. The counter was lined with colourful toppings and syrups, and a glass case displayed many varieties of ice cream.
She parked her bicycle near the wooden fence and ran straight to the counter, where she was welcomed by Mansoor's uncle's bright smile. He was a kind old man with a white beard and twinkling eyes, who had run the ice cream shop for many years.
He had a friendly smile and always spoke kind wordsto everyone. He especially had a soft spot for Mahjabeen, who had been coming to the shop for years and was like a granddaughter to him. She always had a mischievous twinkle in her eyes when she teased him, but he always laughed it off with a good-natured smile. She knew that he had remained unmarried and she made sure she teased him with every aunty who visited the shop, claiming that she was the perfect match for him.
"Assalamualaikum Mansoor uncle...missed me?" She tapped the counter and mischievously spoke in her bossy tone.
He chuckled and replied, "Of course, I missed you! How have you been? My dear? What would you like today?" She grinned and replied, "I'm doing great, Mansoor Uncle! I got 500 rupees from my dad today, so I think I'm gonna have to get the biggest scoop of your famous vanilla ice cream!" She flashed her signature pearly smile and blinked her eyes like she always did when she was happy.
Mansoor Uncle smiled and said, "Coming right up! Anything else I can get for you today?" She shook her head and said, "No thank you, Uncle. That's all I need." Mansoor Uncle nodded and started to scoop the ice cream. She watched him with adoration as he scooped the ice cream into a cone and topped it off with a generous helping of sprinkles. She couldn't help but smile as she admired the perfectly round, snow-white scoop of ice cream. Mansoor Uncle made her favourite treat with the same love and care that he always did.
