05. A C T I N G

『 C H A P T . 5 』
3rd person pov

Ai sat down on the lime green couch and patted her sweat-coated cheek with the light pink towel that hung around her neck. She has practiced for quite some time and some of her energy had depleted from how much effort she put into the practices. With a small sigh, she looked down to the ground before her teammates started a conversation with her.

"Ai-chan, are you feeling a bit down?" Questioned her dark green-haired teammate as she held the ends of her light purple towel that rounded against her neck. Her other teammate who was wearing a dull light yellow shirt then said, "You've only just recovered, so don't push yourself too hard, 'kay?"

Her starred purple eyes met their eyes before she told them with the both of her hands in front of her, "It's nothing like that. It's just that I missed lunch and I'm starving now!" She gestured her hands to her stomach to indicate that she indeed felt hungry with a closed eye smile. 

Mockingly, her other teammate asked, "Nani so re?! You some big eater all of a sudden?!" With that, her teammates laughed before they head off to continue their practice. "Let's go over the last part again." And the other replied, "Okay!" 

As soon as her teammates diverteed they attention elsewwhere, Ai's cheerful facade disappeared to her usual resting face. 'I'm not feeling up to this today...' She thought as her teammates ruined her mood (intentionally/unintentionally). Deciding to distract herself, she pulled out her phone. 'Guess I'll do some egosurfing.'

Suddenly, as she activated her phone and opened a site, she saw a comment. Upon seeing that comment, she made a small noise of surprise.

Her lips were parted in shock before she accepted the comment and murmured with a slow tone, "Hitting me where it hurts..." A shadow casted in front of her eyes.

"A sales promo event! A mini concert! The kind you need to win a ticket lottery for!" Spouted Ruby exictedly as the both of her eyes sparkled with a bright pink hue with the both of her hands clasped by her sides as she was placed on the triplet stroller. "This will be my first time truly seeing Mama perform live."

Just then, Miyako's face appeared in front of the triplets. "Now, listen here. I brought you here since you kept insisting, but I'm the one who'll take the brunt of it if the president finds out about this, got it? No cheering, running, or speaking! Put in your pacifiers and behave yourselves, okay?" With everything said, Miyako picked up the pacifier she kept in the bag and shoved it gently but quickly to Ruby's mouth while Aqua and Sapphire had already put in pacifiers of their own.

"That's right, Ruby." Aqua started with his voice muffled by the pacifier that was in his mouth. "We absolutely can't do anything that makes us stand out." Just for the easiness to speak, Aqua whipped out of the pacifier he used. Sapphire then continued as she had also whipped out her pacifier, "Anything that gives a whiff of us being connect to Ai is-"

"I get it, okay?" Ruby cut him off as she also pulled out her pacifier, not wanting a full lecture from the other 2. "You saw it too, right? The way Mama was down in the dumps... I'm here beacuse I'm worried about her. Please understand I didn't come to have fun." Sapphire looked at Ruby and sighed in understanding.
